separate SSL certificates for pop3s and imaps
Hi,
I'm migrating a uw-imap installation to dovecot. With uw-imap I had
different SSL certificates and keys for ipop3d and imapd. How can I
configure dovecot to do the same with its pop3s and imaps services?
Thanks in advance,

Apache SSL key pass phrase question
I just set up a secure server.
Followed the godaddy instructions for key generation/installation - and
the server wanted my pass phrase to start.
When I started developing I followed instructions for a self signed cert
and everything went dandy.
Anyway - after a little googling and an uneasy feeling that I messed up
and godaddy might charge me a fee to resubmit for a new cert, I found

[LLVMdev] problems with dwarf/gdb
I'm having trouble debugging x86 code generated by LLVM.
GDB does work with the code, but not correctly, for example,
the "next" command does not skip over a function call.
Here's an example.
Source program gdb1.c:
int x;
void foo(){
x++;
}
void bar(){
x--;
}
int main(){
foo();
bar();
return 0;
}
commands:
$ llvm-gcc -g -emit-llvm -c gdb1.c -o gdb1.bc
$ llc

different hostnames ( e.g. pop.domain.com and imap.domain.com ) ?

Sourcing encrypted files
Colleagues,
I have an unusual problem; I am wondering whether anyone has dealt
with it and found a solution.
I have a script that needs to be encrypted. R will then be run on
the script. There are various means to decrypt the file, some of
which leave the decrypted code on the hard drive for an excessive
period.
One means that I have considered to deal with this is the following

Dear R users,
Is documentation for the netlabR package available in English?
If not does anyone know if or when it will be?

Logout after SSL/TLS negociation
Hi All,
I've set up Dovecot to use my signed SSL certificate and IMAP client is
using STARTTLS on port 143 without secure authentication.
The TLS negociation process seems to go through ok but once the negociation
is finished the client sends an IMAP LOGOUT message; he does not try to
authenticate, below is the Dovecot's info log:

[LLVMdev] problems with dwarf/gdb
I see. Here's another interesting issue:
(gdb) b gdb1.c:4
No line 4 in file "gdb1.c".
(gdb) step
foo () at /home/mcmillan/projects/impact2/test//gdb1.c:4
4 x++;
(gdb)
You can see that I can step to line 4, but I can't set a breakpoint there.
(I used -disable-fp-elim in the compilation).
Have you seen this before?
Thanks -- Ken

Dovecot SSL issue on Solaris 10 x64 (64-bit)
I'm having an issue with Thunderbird (and Opera) and Dovecot SSL on a
Solaris 10.
My OS is Solaris 10 6/06 x86 (running in 64-bit mode) using ZFS (disk
mirror) as the
filesystem for my users. Dovecot version is 1.0rc7 (logs below are from
1.0rc6).
First the connection asks if the SSL-certificate should be accepted,
accepting it
seems to work but then nothing happens. Thunderbird is

I can no longer use TLS for Windows7 and Outlook
I currently use Ubuntu 20.04 with Dovecot 2.3.7.2 and OpenSSL 1.1.1f.
A few months ago there was an update to all these systems and since
then I've had to talk W7 and old Mac clients through disabling ports
993/995 with TLS enabled back to ports 143/110 without SSL or they
could not pick up email. Thunderbird users (ie; me) were unaffected.
Could anyone share a set of port 993/995 SSL

Thanks, I would never have guessed that :-).
Are there any other optimizations that are harmful to
debug info that I should know about?

encrypt incoming emails with public gpg key before they are stored to maildir
Hello,
I have asked on the postfix mailing list for a solution, how to encrypt
incoming emails with public gpg key
My original idea was to use a smtpd-milter, which would encrypt all
incoming plaintext messages of given user, using the users public gpg
key. This way, it would look as if the original sender has sent the
message encrypted.
Somebody suggested this might be better done in Dovecot,

obviously not. But the implementation of SSL in a player isn't that
hard. In a matter of fact, SSL isn't the best solution for a public
stream, but I want to use it for a private stream, where every user has
the knowledge how to use a player with ssl. :-)

E-Mail Encryption
Hello,
I am new to Dovecot but installation was quite easy, so there is one
more LDAP authenticated, Dovecot / Postfix mailbox online, but there is
one question left:
I would like to set up a configuration, which encrypts every user mail
with a unique key. If user logs in, private key should be decrypted with
user password and every mail user requests should be decrypted with
users private key.
