indexer-worker panics with latest mercurial
Hi. I am seeing the following in my logs. Happy to downgrade to an earlier version if you think this might be the problem, but dovecot.org is extremely slow (and has been for months) so I found it easier just to pull the latest from mercurial. Thanks. Laeeth Mar 12 20:48:39 indexer: Error: Indexer worker disconnected, discarding 1 reques ts for laeeth at laeeth.com Mar 12 20:48:39

struggling with pigeonhole date extensions
I am struggling with how to use the date extension for Dovecot/Pigenhole implementation of Sieve email filtering language. I have read RFC 5260 several times and tried different things with no luck. I would like to place all messages this year up till the end of March into the specified mail folder. What the snippet below actually seems to do is take any messages this year (whether before or after

failing ssl authentication
Hi, I have a fairly basic dovecot 2.0.19 configuration on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS server with self signed certificates and "ssl = required" option set. It had been working for years flawlessly (including upgrade from 1.x to 2.0.19). Please see full "dovecot -n" output at the end of this post. Until recently, new mail user agents (MUA) are having problems. I cannot pass the account

TLS problem
Well, what immediately stands out is: "FILE * open failed!" Have you triple checked that the full filepath is correct and that the user that Asterisk is running as has full permissions to access your valid certificate file? I have it working with microsip and a free TLS cert from LetsEncrypt. When I get to the PC with that on, I can write up what settings I've got if that helps?

From 11 Oct 2013 (Rick van Rein) "Hello, I love Dovecot, but when developing a small IMAP tool, I ran into searching behaviour can easily be optimised. Please forgive a rather detailed suggestion. This was on Dovecot 1.2.15 on Debian Squeeze. My tool? It's called "midget" and retrieves documents from an IMAP box based on their mid: or cid: identifier, as per RFC 2392. I

data deduplication
I know rsync can do many things but I was wondering if anyone is using it for data deduplication on a large filesystem. I have a filesystem which is about 2TB and I want to make sure I don't have the same data in a different place of a filesystem. Is there an algorithm for that? TIA

Re: ntfs-3g data deduplication support in guestmount for creating file based back-ups on visualization platform
Hi Richard, Is there a way I can access the /var/log/syslog of an running guestmount instance to get the grep ntfs-3g /var/log/syslog information? I managed to get the plug-in to load in my questmount instances by using: echo '/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/ntfs-3g/ntfs-plugin-*.so' > /usr/lib/guestfs/supermin.d/zz-ntfs-plugins rm -rf /var/tmp/.guestfs-* Kind regards, Jelle de Jong

Zfs deduplication
Will the material ever be posted. Looks there is some huge bugs with zfs deduplication that the organizers do not want to post it also there is no indication on sun website if there will be a deduplication feature. I think its best they concentrate on improving zfs performance and speed with compression enabled. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

deduplication
Colleagues, I am trying to de-duplicate a large (long) database (approx 1mil records) of diagnostic tests. Individuals in the database can have up-to 25 observations, but most will have only one. IDs for de-duplication (names, sex, lab number...) are patchy. In a first step, I am using Andreas Borg's excellent record linkage package (), that leaves me with a list of 'pairs' looking

PSARC 2009/571: ZFS deduplication properties
I haven''t seen any mention of it in this forum yet, so FWIW you might be interested in the details of ZFS deduplication mentioned in this recently-filed case. Case log: http://arc.opensolaris.org/caselog/PSARC/2009/571/ Discussion: http://www.opensolaris.org/jive/thread.jspa?threadID=115507 Very nice -- I like the interaction with "copies", and (like a few others) I think
