Mozilla windowless plugin
Hey, I've just landed support for windowless mode to swfdec-mozilla git. This means that pages such as http://www.communitymx.com/content/source/E5141/wmodeopaque.htm stack properly with Swfdec now. Menus overlayed with Flash ads should be a thing of the past, too. It also means Swfdec is the first plugin to support windowless on Mozilla/Unix. While this means we now have another feature

SwfdecMozilla 100% cpu usage on Youtube
Hi, My question is: Can anyone recommend a cheap graphics board that works well with the GNU/Linux/X/Firefox/Swfdec/Youtube stack? I am using an old ATI Radeon 9550, and I have been experiencing 100% CPU usage, stuttering and loss of sync when viewing Youtube movies for quite a long time now (since Swfdec v 0.6.x, now using 0.8.2). Didn't bother to report it because I've seen

youtube.com complains about old version on 64 bit ubuntu gutsy
I read on lwn.net that swfdec has support for watching youtube.com videos. Good work! I have not been able to get the Adobe 32-bit mozilla plugin working under 64-bit gutsy so I figured I'd give swfdec a go. A quick search of the archives and bugzilla turns up nothing obviously similar to my problem. Viewing this page: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=82Opqy5mFZM&feature=related I

PPC/Kubuntu documentation
I installed swfdec and the Firefox plugin on a PPC machine today and documented the steps. I realise that since it is currently targetted at developers you might not want install steps on your website of course, but in case it is useful you can find it here. (Permission granted for the swfdec project to use however they like etc etc.) http://www.revis.co.uk/site/?q=node/139 The instructions

Youtube broken by 89d295a94
Hello! The current swfdec from git won't play videos on youtube. I had bisected the change. 8fc53e76 ("merge the too get_variable functions") is the last good revision. 89d295a94 ("implement swfdec_action_get_movie_by_path() and use it for GetVariable") is broken. Broken revisions show "share" and "watch" on blinking white background with two labels

swfdec not working - how to troubleshoot?
Hi, I'm a fedora user and I didn't know about your great project (shame on me). Only project I head about before that tried to do that you are doing is gnash. I'm testing fedora rawhide (development verision - soon to be Fedora 9). Rawhide currently uses Firefox 3 and swfdec installed by default - that is how I got to know about your project. Current version in rawhide is

KParts for KDE 3 , KDE 4
Hello, I started writing a KPart for swfdec so that it will work nicely in Konqueror. Currently it can load various movies using swfdec's built in loader and render them. Although swfdec's loader can only handle local URLs, KPart provides a mechanism to download movies to temporary local files if the part doesn't explicitly support non-local URLs. That works for simple movies, but I
