A few new Pigeonhole features
Hi, A few new Pigeonhole features that enthusiasts can experiment with: - Recently, I implemented support for the "imapsieve" extension in Sieve and its IMAP counterpart (https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc6785). This is now in the Pigeonhole master branch. This allows running Sieve scripts at IMAP activity, rather than at delivery. There are also facilities for the familiar

Sieve also filter outgoing messages
Greetings, A probably simple question and answer: can a sieve script be executed on outgoing messages? I already use deliver on postfix, perhaps the sieve script could be executed when saving to the Sent folder? Regards, -- Marcio Merlone

dovecot-sieve (pigeonhole) -- is is possible to "re-filter" INBOX when filters have been updated?
Hello, Dovecot. I want to migrate to webmail (roundcube) over dovecot + sieve (pigeonhole). Now I'm using on-client (The Bat!) filters, but I need to have acccess to my mail everywhere, not only on my workstation. And I wonder, is here simple way to re-filter INBOX after sieve filters have been changed? Any offline (desktop) mail client could run new filters on old messages -- is

imapsieve environment variables missing?
RFC6785 says imap.user and imap.email environment variables should be made available but I can't access them no matter what I try. Are they not implemented because vnd.dovecot.environment already provides the username? (which does work for me) If imap.user and imap.email are there, can you provide an example how to access them so I can see what I did wrong?

Pigeonhole Sieve date extension
Probably I'm doing something stupidly wrong. I have dovecot 1.2.7 and sieve 0.1.13. I have a sieve script starting with # <some comment> require ["vacation", "date", "relational"]; I get main_script: line 2: error: require command: unknown Sieve capability 'date'. Just to make sure I haven't messed up the dovecot package: $ strings

Pigeonhole Sieve: Vacation Extension answer to every E-Mail
Hi, dont ask :) but I have two accounts for which I have to configure an auto reply for any e-mail send to it. As far as I understand Sieve yet, I do have to set sieve_vacation_min_period = 0 in the dovecot config and set the days value in the sieve rule. But as there is a limit of 1 day, I think this is not working. Right? Is there any other way to accomplish that? regards . G?tz -- G?tz

sieve pigeonhole vacation filter responding when recipient is not explicitly listed
Hi dovecot.org, When I set up vacation filter for a mailbox, the vacation response is generated even though none of the addresses in the email are same as the mailbox address itself. I have example email sent to "aliastouser at mpathix.com" which gets delivered to "user at my.domain.com" by dovecot-lda. The invocation command is: # /usr/lib/dovecot/dovecot-lda \ -d

Plugin sieve vs. imap_sieve
Dear all, I just saw that a "new" plugin imap_sieve is available: https://wiki2.dovecot.org/Pigeonhole/Sieve/Plugins/IMAPSieve I configured everything using the plugin sieve. Was the plugin sieve just renamed to imap_sieve or is it completely different? Thanks a lot for explaining what had been changed here, I cannot find anything in the wiki. Gru? What causes mails to get striked-over only, and not deleted?
I have tried with this sieve config: imapsieve_mailbox1_name = Sent imapsieve_mailbox1_causes = COPY APPEND imapsieve_mailbox1_after = file:/etc/dovecot/sieve/sent.sieve and this sieve file (sent.sieve): discard; This should clearly cause the mail to be deleted right? But whats happen, is that the mail is not deleted, its just marked for deletion (gets a strike-through in Microsoft

Released Pigeonhole Sieve v0.1.14 and ManageSieve v0.11.10 for Dovecot v1.2.9
Hello Dovecot users, Due to personal matters I haven't had time to do anything in the last few weeks. Before that I provided some pre-releases and since nobody indicated problems with those, I release them definitively now. I hope the shit storm has blown over, so that I can dedicate more of my time towards Pigeonhole development. The Sieve release involves a large architectural change,

New plugin for Pigeonhole Sieve: sieve_pipe
Hello, I've finished up work on a new plugin for Pigeonhole Sieve: sieve_pipe. It adds a new Sieve extension (vnd.dovecot.pipe) providing a new action command that provides the possibility to pipe messages to external programs (e.g. shell scripts). The programs available to this command are explicitly limited and subject to administrator configuration. The plugin can currently only be
