BUG in RC10 deliver using mbox format
After recently adding the -f parameter to the call to the deliver command which is called by Postfix, I found that e-mail with a null return path (MAIL FROM:<>) was causing Dovecot deliver to SEGFAULT. I verified this by making this patch to deliver.c (notice I fixed a typo here, too): *** deliver.c.orig Fri Oct 13 07:32:28 2006 --- deliver.c Fri Oct 27 21:26:08 2006 ***************

SEGV with Dovecot v1.0.0 Deliver and cmusieve v1.0.1 and vacation
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello, I have a small Sieve script that tries to use vacation that segfaults. The script is the one from http://wiki.dovecot.org/LDA/Sieve. When I change the email address (I changed the local part into "skai"), hence, vacation is skipped, the mail is delivered without any problem. ==== script start require ["fileinto",

sieve filter not working
HI, > You could set > > syslog_facility = local5 > > and have all the log messages in the messages file. According to the output of command # doveadm log find every type of message goes to the file I was looking at, "/var/spool/maillog". >> So, is it postfix doing the local mail delivery, not dovecot? >> > To answer this question please post relevant

UNIX perms appear ok (ACL/MAC wrong?)
Hi, I am struggling with Postfix/SASL/Dovecot-IMAP setup with ~/Maildir/ setup. Receiving the mail works fine, but viewing the mail(+listing) is failing. The setup I use is simple unix users from etc/passwd, (pam thru SASL) as I only host for a few people. The ~/Maildir folder has the ownership of the user, not mail or vmail, as I would have expected from the master.cf from Postfix, the

tls not working with postfix in chroot mode on centos4.0
hey friends, I am trying to make postfix run with tls in chroot mode, but I am not able to send the messages with tls on. I am using postfix 2.2.10 on centos 4.0 and I had compiled the postfix from sources with tls & cyrus-sasl support. I copied the certificates from /usr/share/ssl to /etc/postfix. Below are the errors I am getting: May 25 13:27:51 test1 postfix/smtpd[4095]: warning: TLS

Sieve scripts not triggered on IMAP inbound messages using IMAPC
Good morning. I am using Dovecot as an IMAP proxy -- using IMAPC -- and the system is working great. Thank you for contributing such great software to the community! I'm using Dovcot 2.3.5 and Pigeonhole 0.5.5. My server is located behind a content-filtering firewall that will mark incoming messages by adding "[SPAM]" to the subject line. I'm trying to use Sieve to

LDA/Sieve and vacation: empty envelope sender
Hello everyone, while testing a vacation/reject sieve rule I get: lda(sender at mydomain.xyz): Error: sieve: envelope sender address '<>@mail.domain.xyz' is unparsable follows an empty Return-Path: <"<>"@mail.domain.xyz> and the reject of the message itself by the recipient's MTA (syntax error). Unfortunately I had no luck when googling for similar

dovecot deliver errors
I think someone else mentioned this problem earlier on the list, and I've recently started seeing the following error show up: file index-transaction.c: line 54 (index_transaction_finish_rollback): assertion failed: (t->mail_ref_count == 0) Raw backtrace: /usr/lib/dovecot/deliver(i_syslog_fatal_handler+0x2b) [0x80bff0b] -> /usr/lib/dovecot/deliver [0x80bfd1a] ->

rejecting mail due to quota exceeded
Hi, we are using dovecot's deliver to deliver mails to a virtual mailbox tree owned by the vmail user, by piping the message to the following command spawned by vmail: /usr/bin/env HOME=/srv/vmail/mydomain.ch/myaccount /usr/lib/dovecot/deliver When a message is delivered to an account that has reached its quotum, deliver issues a failure message saying: From: Mail Delivery Subsystem

Hi there, I changed postfix to pass email to spamassassin, and then deliver to dovecot LDA. It fails to deliver. The current entry in master.cf now reads: dovecot unix - n n - - pipe flags=DRhu user=vmail:vmail argv=/usr/lib/dovecot/deliver -d ${recipient} smtp inet n - - - - smtpd -o content_filter=spamassassin

Sieve "redirect" changes envelope sender in 2.3. / pigeonhole 0.5
OK, I found a solution: trusted_users = exim:dovecot in my exim.conf fixed it. Anyway this is an important change of behavour between 2.2 und 2.3 In 2.2 the "dovecot" under exims "trusted_users" was not necessary.
