Latest 6.2 kernel is broken
I just kickstarted a new machine with the latest CentOS 6.2 files, including kernel 2.6.32-220.13.1.el6.x86_64. It came up without network interfaces. dmesg says: bnx2: Broadcom NetXtreme II Gigabit Ethernet Driver bnx2 v2.2.1 (Dec 18, 2011) alloc irq_desc for 36 on node -1 alloc kstat_irqs on node -1 bnx2 0000:01:00.0: PCI INT A -> GSI 36 (level, low) -> IRQ 36 bnx2 0000:01:00.0:

dsync replication questions
I am running two servers with Dovecot v2.2.12 on CentOS x86_64 (5.10 and 6.5 respectively) and users are virtual over ldap. I have setup our main internal server (vmail.example.com) with dsync replication according to the first part of http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Replication. The second one (vmail1.example.com) will be the failover server which we want to be a real-time mirror (but can be

Crash while accessing mdbox folders
Hi, I've converted some accounts with "dsync mirror maildir:~/Maildir". It seemed to work, but when I access the folders via IMAP I get the following error: Jul 11 09:41:59 shrike dovecot: imap(matze): Debug: acl vfile: file /home/matze/mdbox/mailboxes/Telefon/dbox-Mails/dovecot-acl not found Jul 11 09:41:59 shrike dovecot: imap(matze): Panic: file mailbox-list-fs.c: line 150

Samba v2.2.12 NTLM versions?
Hi, I am working on an old Unix system, UNIX SVR4 MP-RAS, running a Teradata database. Due to the age of the system (notably the C compiler, which won't handle v3 source code), I have built Samba 2.2.12 I want to use this to share Unix directories out to XP clients as network drives, for read-write access, keeping the file ownership as strict unix users. This all works fine, except for

dsync replication does not replicate new subfolders
Hello, Although this issue has been raised in another thread: https://www.mail-archive.com/dovecot at dovecot.org/msg57281.html I decided I should create a new one dedicated on it because that thread includes other issues as well, and the issue in question still remains unresolved although it is an important one (and I am hoping to attract Timo's attention on it, too ;-) ). pop3 mailbox mirroring issues using dsync
Hello, I have setup v2.2.12 to mirror mailboxes between our main mail server (vmail.example.com) and a failover server (vmail1.example.com). The problem I have is the behavior of mailboxes used on the main server (*vmail*) over POP3. I have setup an IMAP account on the failover server (*vmail1*) on such a mailbox: the mailbox is used on vmail using POP3 and the same is monitored on vmail1

If SSL/TLS handshake was started but wasn't finished, the login process attempted to eventually forcibly disconnect the client, but failed

WirelessIP5000 SIP registration problem
I have a Hitachi WirelessIP5000 phone (the original 1st gen hardware). It's running the latest firmware (v2.2.6) and my Asterisk server is running 1.2.10. This setup has been working great for me for a long time, and then last week I started having a problem where the Hitachi phone loses registration. It registers fine when I first power it on, but at some point later the display shows

dsync incredibly slow
Hi! While performing a dsync from cyrus imap to dovecot 2.2.12, dsync seems to stop for perhaps a minute without disk / cpu / memory activity (that I can see). This happens several times per sync per user so it takes an enormous amount of time to sync just a couple of gigs of mail. dsync -D -v -o mail_fsync=never mirror -f -R -u user at example.com imapc: What could possibly be the cause of

Converting old emails to compressed format
Hello, I know this question has already been asked, but I would really like a solution here as I tried all I could find on the wiki or mail archives I am now running dovecot 2.2.12 Compression works fine for new mails, so zlib works Mails are currently stored using dbox So I tried for testing dsync -D -v mirror -u user -m Archives dbox:~/temp dsync -o "plugin/zlib_save=xz" -D -v
