dovecot-sieve vacation vs qmail-ldap
Helloo,
We are using dovectot lda with qmail-ldap,
dovecot 1.2.10, sieve 0.1.15
lda is executed as
exec /var/qmail/bin/preline -f /usr/local/dovecot/libexec/dovecot/deliver -s
preline adds Delivered-To: header,
everything works fine except vacation

Keep in mind that the sieve_after script is only executed when the
"keep" action [1] is executed or when the implicit "keep" [2] is still
active, meaning that the user didn't give the mail an explicit destination.

Making attachment_fu polymorphic
I am working on a small model mixin called attachment_kung to make
attachment_fu polymorphic, so you no longer need a different table and
Model class for every associated attachment (Productimage, Ad_doc,
etc). All you really need is one model and table to handel all your
attachments - in some cases, anyway. I have the code working, but have
run into one small hitch that I can''t seem to

Maildir filename has wrong S value
Hello folks,
This morning I tried to open an old archive mail folder using Mutt.
However, while fetching headers it aborted.
Checking the dovecot log gave me this:

Deliver LDA versus vdelivermail
Good morning all,
I have a question. Due to my interest in the Sieve plug-in. I'm considering to change the LDA on my production servers from 'vdelivermail' from vpopmail to 'deliver' from Dovecot. However I'm not sure how to go about doing this or whether there are any conversion issues that I should be aware of.
Currently my /var/qmail/control/defaultdelivery is set to

Courier migration and vpopmail with dovecot-lda
I've been using Dovecot in some fresh installs lately and have found
it fairly easy to configure. However I'm starting on a migration
that involves moving from some very old software (ancient vpopmail,
qmail and Courier).
On the Courier front, I've reviewed the migration page in the wiki,
and it looks like the main concerns are just matching the namespace
and then using the migration

local variables in partials lead to NameError
I know I must be doing something dumb, but I can''t seem to send a
local variable to my partial. The below code leads to the following
error:

I am trying to call the variable ''foo'' in a partial called

Dovecot and time (again)
I'm rehashing/reliving my issues from 2010:
http://www.dovecot.org/list/dovecot/2010-October/053528.html
In short, when calling deliver from vdelivermail (or procmail), and
delivering via NFS to Maildir, the timestamp on the file is GMT.? If
procmail or vdelivermail completely handle the email, the timestamp is CST.
The server is set to CST.
What's changed from the original issue??

deliver and time
Hi All,
I've been experimenting with deliver on my personal domain, and so far
everything has been peachy except for Mail.app. Mail.app (on multiple
devices) is showing what looks to be GMT times, rather than the date
header. Initially I thought it was something I did on my Mac, until I
got an Ipad to test with - and never connected it to my Mac - and had
the same time issue.
It seems

You're right.
Isn't this a simple fix - a call to sigprocmask ?

centos + kswapd0 error
Hi all
I have a box with Centos 4 and qmail with all pathches. since Last month i
have had twice the same problem. The process kswapd0 uses all my resources
of CPU and RAM memory and the consequence is that my local queue grow up and
the box go slow too.
The first time i guess the problem was the version of the kernel, so i did
an upgrade form kernel.i686 2.6.9-5.0.3.EL to kernel.i686

Rate limit remote smtp connections....
Hi all ...
Happy to be back for a question/suggestion again ....
I came accross this weird situation.
I take care of a site running shorewall 3.0.5 in the firewall and qmail
in the DMZ ( mail server ).
A remote clients smtp server denies to accept more than one incomming
smtp connections from my site :-(.
In my site users are always sending mail to this server ( 50 - 60 per day ).
