Sendmail + Deliver as an LDA probs
Hi, I'm having trouble setting up sendmail to be able to use dovecot deliver as an LDA... I don't want to be able to deliver mail locally, everything should go via deliver (virtual user setup)... And i'm confused about all the procmail/lda entry's in different sendmail config files... When using $# deliver -u testuser < testmail <-- he delivers my mail in the correct

Cannot use dovecot with vpopmail and sendmail
Hi, I setup a configuration that will use sendmail with dovecot as imap/pop3 service and vpopmail as backend to handle virtual users and store email there. For this I created a dovecot.m4 as described in the wiki, it looks like: ######################*****############## ### DOVECOT Mailer specification ### ##################*****################## Mdovecot,

Sieve vacation reply problem (Dovecot+Sieve/Sendmail/Horde)
Hello Dovecot community, I have an annoying problem with successfully activating Sieve vacation replies - on which I have been working hard the last days without success :( I'm using Dovecot 2.2 + Sendmail + Sieve connected with Horde web-mailer IMP H3 which is generally working fine. BUT: Whenever I activate vacation script in Horde (via Ingo) and send a test-mail to this account, the mail

Dovecot Virtual Users with Sendmail
I'm trying to get Dovecot working with Virtual Users and Sendmail on OpenIndiana 151a7. OpenIndiana is the Open Source continuation of OpenSolaris after Oracle tried to kill it off a couple of years ago shortly after acquiring Sun Microsystems. I'm not sure if this is so much a Dovecot problem, as much of a Sendmail problem. I thought this would probably be a better list to start with,

Deliver, sendmail & envelope From_
Sorry, couldn't find this in the archives. Under freebsd 4.x, the native mail.local that sendmail uses by default writes From_ lines that include the origin address. This is very readily parsable and handy for quick greps in mboxes. But deliver defaults it to MAILER-DAEMON. I see you can specify the envelope From_ with "-f", but I'm not sure how that's useful. Also

How to redefine `require' to generate a warning and delegate work to the original require?
Good afternoon, My goal is to warn the user any time that they use the `require' function. The reason is that they probably wanted to use `library' instead. There is a case where they should use the former though, so I just want to issue a warning. My approach was to: ? Re-bind `require' to `original.require' ? Re-implement `require' to ? Warn the user ? Delegate the real
