attempt to access beyond end of device and livelock
Hi Dongyang, Yan,
When testing BTRFS with RAID 0 metadata on linux-3.3, we see discard
ranges exceeding the end of the block device [1], potentially causing
dataloss; when this occurs, filesystem writeback becomes catatonic due
to continual resubmission.
The reproducer is quite simple [2]. Hope this proves useful...
Thanks,
Daniel

Re: [PATCH] Fix IPSec for Xen checksum offload packets (Jon Mason)
Hello Xen folks,
I have independently verified that this patch indeed fixes the issue (I
posted a message about the issue over the summer:
http://lists.xensource.com/archives/html/xen-devel/2005-08/msg00114.html).
I used changeset 8911 of xen-unstable.hg. The patch as written expects
kernel linux-2.6.16-rc2, but changeset 8911 uses kernel 2.6.16-rc4. I
verified that the patch works with

[LLVMdev] Question to Chris
Thank you for this reply.
However, I've already read this thesis. (Mr. Doug Simon in Sun microsystems I mentioned was her student.)
This is a quite good article for reverse engineering but this is only useful for my alternative way which is trying to derive HL code from a machine assembly.
This thesis is a little bit old before SSA form becomes quite popular so does not deal with any PHI

2mByte for PC apps is "nothing" these days. The app I have in mind is
50-200mByte depending on install options.
To be able to write llvm DLLs and ship intermediate code would definitely
