BUG? Draggable''s handle implementation does not match the documents
Hi, First thanks for your great scripts! According to the documents:http://script.aculo.us/drag-and-drop The Draggable''s option ''handle'' value is a string referencing a CSS class. The first child/grandchild/etc. element found within the element that has this CSS class will be used as the handle. However, in the source code file dragdrop.js line 250, is, this.handle=

examples of drag n drop
Sorry if this sounds cynical, ( i do love script.aculo.us scripts ) , but I am wondering if people know of some good real world examples of uses of drag n drop and sortable lists. such a cute script will likely be *ab*used as much as it is used. obviously the point here is to use script.aculo.us to improve the user interface rather than just have some k00l eFX. e.g. the drag n drop instantly

draggables bug(s)
Loving using draggables/sortables in rails... two small issues though - First bug: creating a draggable object with a handle in rails: <%= draggable_element "item_#{item.id}", :handle=>"myhandle" %> this generates code like this: <script type="text/javascript">new Draggable(''item_7'', {handle:myhandle})</script> ***

unmovable items on sortables...
The "Sortable lists demo" is almost perfect for a project, but once you drag all the items from the first list to the second, you cannot drag back to the first. I need to be able to have several <ul>s that can be dragged back and forth between, even when one is emptied. Possible solutions? 1) create a <li> that is styled as a header, and is unmovable 2) modify the

Sortable onUpdate problem
Hi, I have two sortables with different options (but same tags. just ''li''). When I drag an item from sortable1 to sortable2 I want it to gain the options that the sortable2 items have. I''ve tried all day to understand how Draggables and their observers are destroyed but I keep gettting buggy behavior. Part of the problem is the draggable and the draggableObserver are

[PATCH server] Update app to work with rails 2.3.2
Note that this does not fix gettext for app, that will be done separately in another patch as F10/F11 require different setups for that. In the meantime gettext works if manually changed in environment.rb to gettext_rails instead of gettext/rails Signed-off-by: Jason Guiditta <jason.guiditt at gmail.com> --- src/app/controllers/application.rb | 200 --------

Sortable - can we make one or more elements in a list sticky?
In a sortable list, is there a way to say, pass a className whereby some of the elements in the sortable element would not become draggables/droppables? If not, it seems like it could be implemented similarly to the handle option.. Any interest? Also - I submitted a patch that adds the option "delay" so that draggables in a Sortable won''t truly become activated until after the

Sortable Dropable, Dragable
I''m trying to create an application where you pick from a list of items to add to an album. Once in the album they can be sorted or removed. I''ve run into nothing but bugs trying to get this to work. I currently have each item draggable in the list. Once it is dragged onto the album rails takes over and adds the id to an array and renders the album partial. All of the items

Sortables question
Hello, I am new to Scriptaculous, and was recently brought into a project using it to create an email Newsletter builder. The idea is that the user will have lists of elements that he can add to the email page by dragging the element he wants to add from an "available sections" container, to a "loaded sections" container. Dragging from the loaded to available will

Question abour Draggables & Droppables - my code example
hi i think my example is very simple and straightforward so i''m not sure if it meets your needs (change revert:true to revert:false from a draggable after I drop it on a droppable so it doesn''t return to its original place.) i did this # 2 divs created here <script language="javascript"> new Draggable(''drag'', {revert: false});

Script.aculo.us: Dynamic Sortable List Problems
This is my first post to this mailing list so I hope its in the right location.I''m trying to use a list of draggables (not sortable) which I can drag into a droppable div. The goal is to create a new item, not to move from one list to the other. When a new draggable is dropped, a new div is added to the droppable div and a sortable is created. Everything is working fairly well, to

sortables callbacks
i know someone just recently asked about queueing ajax requests, my question is similar in the regards that i don''t want my application to send multiple requests. i have 2 sortabbles lists left, and right. when i move an item from left to the right the onUpdate callback will send 2 ajax requests. one for each sortables. however. i want it to serialize and send back the results from

Sortables and not-Sortables
I have some drag and drop to do that is just a little different from the scriptaculous demos. My application has a shopping cart-like setup, where the user needs to drag an item from the main content area to a particular position in the cart. I don''t want to be able to sort items in the content area. That is, the target is a Sortable list, but the source is not. Problem one was that

Sortable: Ajax not firing?
Using Rails to generate a sortable list, I get the draggable/sortable page elements, but Ajax never fires back the post-sorted list. (I''ve checked with IE & Firefox, the "save this order to the DB" controller hasn''t been called.) The View: <p>Drag to sort.<span id="sort_info"></span></p> <ul id="sort1">

Sortable trouble
Hi everybody, Could somebody have a look at a little sortable example at http://www.weisshuhn.de/diagnose/sortable.html It implements two Sortables and a Draggable. You can drag elements from the "source" Sortable to the main Sortable, sort them (surprise) and drag them to a trash. Whenever you drag from the "source", a new element is created (by cloning an invisible

Weird flicker effect in IE6 (sortables)
Hello everyone I have made some strange expirience yesterday. I have an unordered list with sortable list items (basic). Within these are various contents (forms, divs, more lists) etc.. Now on only some of them the whole page (all text) begins to flicker / redrawn in Internet Explorer 6 if i pick up a dragable and move it above its original position (like moving it above the ghost of the

onDrop don't fires
Hi! As in http://groups.google.es/group/rubyonrails-spinoffs/browse_thread/thread/bbd975bac3be748a?hl=es I have some problems with onDrop on a Droppable Instead of he I have only a sortable list with draggable elements (I make the list sortable and every element draggable) I try two forms: onDrop: Borrar where Borrar is something like: Borrar = function () { my code here } an onDrop:

IE Sortable Style Problem
Hi Guys, I am having a problem in IE (tested versions 6 and 7 beta) with sortable divs in a container div with overflow set to scroll. It looks like all of the divs have their position set to relative after the sortable initializes, and also after being dragged. When a div (any element?) has a relative position in a containing div with overflow set to scroll, all of the divs with relative
