R 4.0.2 64-bit Windows hangs
Ah yes, this is related. I reported v2010 below, but it looks like I was updated to this Insider Build overnight without my knowledge, and conflated it with the new installation R v4 this morning.
I will continue to look into the issue with the methods Tomas mentioned.
Many thanks.

R 4.0.2 64-bit Windows hangs
I'm only using Visual Studio to debug.
I'm using R version 4.0.2 from: https://cran.r-project.org/, and have tested the patched version. Even the x64 version of the previous version of R (3.6) does not run.
I have previously had Microsoft R Open installed on the machine, but it's been uninstalled.
Thanks.

R 4.0.2 64-bit Windows hangs
For some further information, on compiling with rtools, using the following scripts, https://github.com/r-windows/r-base, I receive a segfault:
installing 'sysdata.rda'
building package 'compiler'
byte-compiling package 'compiler'

R 4.0.2 64-bit Windows hangs
Thanks for the response. Having spent a lot of the day trying to solve this, as R is essential for my workflow, I've tried to debug via the binary only as I haven't yet got the toolchain working - I'm quite inexperienced at this.
I've confirmed the problem is exactly as described in the initial (albeit old) bug report. The exception that's thrown within Visual Studio is:

R 4.0.2 64-bit Windows hangs
I am having exactly the same issue as the following bug report: https://bugs.r-project.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=16515.
RTerm.exe hangs on startup, nothing is printed to the terminal. 32-bit RTerm.exe runs fine.
No errors are displayed, but I see the same as the bug report in Event Viewer.
I am running Windows 10 64-bit, v2010.

http://www.centos.org/docs
Hi,
Why does http://www.centos.org/docs not point to say this for example:
http://docs.redhat.com/docs/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/index.html
The latter is more comprehensive. The links that
http://www.centos.org/docs contains all have "upstream" labels on the
reading material, so I'm guessing the trademark boundries are not being
crossed.

CentOS 6 (and 5.6) doc on http://www.centos.org/docs
Hi documentation team,
As CentOS 6 is now being released to the mirrors, it would be a good
time to think about putting the accurate documentation on
http://www.centos.org/docs
Red Hat changed their documentation license in the past and they are now
using the CC-by-SA license.
My own understanding (but IANAL) is that we can just share the
documentation , and just linking back to upstream

Fwd: Update CentOS wiki 8.1 Release notes
Hi all,
I received this e-mail from Christer regarding dead links in the CentOS
8.1911 release notes.
Can the maintainer of the CentOS 8 release notes determine what the best
course of action is?? Thanks.

答复: CentOS 7 docs, tutorials, etc...
Perhaps RHEL/CentOS 7 are something different, however, they just change a little, their base used are similar. On a gnome desktop, if you want to add a shortcut to the desktop, you can reference xxx.desktop in /usr/share/application/ , than write some similar xxx. desktop which you prefer and cp to the desktop directory ? it's really useful..

The RHEL links for Release Notes for CentOS-6, CentOS-5, and Centos-4
on wiki.c.o/Download are reached courtesy of redirects on the
RedHat.com server. The same is true for the Red Hat's Documentation

Try

Very first contact with docs may confuse
Hi,
This is my very first time using CentOS and I find documentation a little bit confusing.
For example, I don't know which iso image suits my needs, isn't adding big, shining red link "READ THIS IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHICH ISO SHOULD YOU CHOOSE" a good idea? 'README' file on mirrors with instructions would also be nice. If there already is one, I wasn't able to

While useful, I don't imagine that was Mark's point. CentOS links to a
very out of date website. So either the

ZapRAS docs needed...
hi all
Where can I find documentation about how to setup ZapRAS?
What I want to do (optimally) is to allow for automatic dial-up to
external sites, each having an ISDN router. Today we use a small ISDN
router for this, but it'd be a lot better, IMHO, to have asterisk do
this (functioning as a ISDN router), as we may cancel our BRIs then.
Is this possible? And if so, how can I do it? I
