Syntax for ACLs?
Hey all, Is there better documentation on setting up ACLs for the wiki than what's here? (http://wiki.centos.org/SyntaxReference?action=show&redirect=centoswiki%2FSyntaxReference) Thanks, jzb -- Joe Brockmeier | Principal Cloud & Storage Analyst jzb at redhat.com | http://community.redhat.com/ Twitter: @jzb | http://dissociatedpress.net/ -------------- next part -------------- A

Seeking Speakers for Upcoming Dojos
Hi all, If you follow the centos-promo mailing list (it exists!)[1] you may have noticed a lot of discussion lately around putting together a lot of CentOS Dojos this year. We're currently planning, and have announced, several Dojos: * March 31 (Santa Clara, CA): http://wiki.centos.org/Events/Dojo/SantaClara2014 * April 10 (Denver, CO): http://wiki.centos.org/Events/Dojo/Denver2014 *

More wiki access, please
Howdy - Was trying to revive the CentOS Newsletter and went to edit this page: http://wiki.centos.org/Newsletter/Contributing And was told I don't have access. Can I get access to that page / pages related to the Newsletter, please? Thanks! jzb -- Joe Brockmeier | Principal Cloud & Storage Analyst jzb at redhat.com | http://community.redhat.com/ Twitter: @jzb |

A request for help managing wiki permissions
Long story short, the core team doesn't need to be in the business of micro-managing wiki permissions. We've not been that good at it during the best of times, and as the 6.6 build process is showing we've clearly let some stuff slip without following up on it appropriately here. What I'd propose is that 3-4 people who have been around the distribution a while (perhaps John

Container Pipeline placeholder
Hi, I've created http://wiki.centos.org/ContainerPipleline as a placeholder to start populating about the pipeline. Although this will run from ci.centos.org hosted infra ( http://wiki.centos.org/QaWiki/CI ) - and it will form a sort of ecocystem test + release process, I think it deserves scope beyond being just under the CI namespace. - KB -- Karanbir Singh, Project Lead, The CentOS

the seven.c.o blog and twitter
hi, wondering if we should setup a twitter account for seven.centos.org and have it linked into the blog code to auto tweet on new posts ? There is a lot of great content on the blog now, and I suspect its not getting a lot of air time. Could we do something similar for the centos facebook groups as well ? embedding video into the wiki pages
hi guys Ive got the videos from Paris Dojo now processed up and ready to go - the plan is to get them into the CentOSProject youtube channel. however, i was wondering if there is a way to embedd the video into the wiki pages as well. We can then have the videos for all the sessions ( or the ones we managed to record proper ) ready to view right in place that also means we end up promoting the

D'oh, should've looked at this before hand. Seems you've done more or less what I've done and taken the streaming code from the mpeg/vorbis plugins and meshed it in with yours. I

Documentation SIG
Hey all - Just curious to find out if there's any activity with the documentation SIG? I'd like to join. One thing i've noticed is that it seems like documentation for CentOS ends at 5. While the documentation is more or less mirrored from RedHat's site, this can be confusing to beginners since they may get the impression that documentation isn't there. That being said, i

Notice: Check your tuned settings for a performance boost.
Last week we noticed that the default scheduler isn't being set properly in CentOS 7. I haven't checked this for CentOS 6, but it might be worth exploring. The TL;DR is unless you're running CentOS 7 on a laptop or as a virtual guest, you should probably run 'tuned-adm profile throughput-performance' I wrote up the full details here ->

Suggested additions to the wiki on the V6 to V7 upgrade page
Hi I've reviewed and am performing some tests for the V6 to V7 preupgrade assistant. I have some suggestions for the wiki page. I have started a google doc with some suggested additions. They will most likely be added to as I discuss stuff with the dev mailing list. Whoever is responsible for maintaining the upgrade guide page on the wiki, could you give me some feedback please. Here's
