CentOS 6.4 kernel panic on boot after upgrading kernel to 2.6.32-431.29.2
I'm on a Supermicro server, X9DA7 motherboard, Intel C602 chipset, 2x 2.4GHz
Intel Xeon E5-2665 8-core CPU, 96GB RAM, and I'm running CentOS 6.4.
I just tried to use yum to upgrade the kernel from 2.6.32-358 to
2.6.32-431.29.2. However, I get a kernel panic on boot. The first kernel panic I
got included stuff about acpi, so I tried adding noacpi noapic to the kernel
boot parameters,

Trying to re-install ZFS drivers
What should have been a routine upgrade to ZFS 0.6.4.1-1.el6.x86_64
somehow failed, and now I've lost access to a 2T raidz2 array. I've
tried removing all zfs and related packages (spl*), then starting fresh.
For reasons that have have nothing to do with this problem (I don't
think), I'm still booted to kernel 2.6.32-431.29.2.el6.x86_64, and there
are no other kernels installed.

documentation for kernel
I am using CentOS 6.5. I am using kernel 2.6.32-431.11.2.el6.i686 and
there is a newer version 2.6.32-431.29.2.el6.i686 available. Where can I
find documentation that tells me the difference in the two version?
Thanks

My firmware seems to be more up to date. Anyway, I will try to update
firmware. I have to check how to do that.

virsh list hangs
I followed the wiki[1] to create a KVM virtual machine using bridged
network on CentOS 6.5. It seemed to work fine on initial setup.
However, after a boot, it doesn't auto-start the VMs, or at least,
something has to timeout (a *very* long time, on the order of 15--30
minutes) before they can be started.
Shortly after boot, if I go into "virsh", then do a "list", it just

High memory usage
Hi
I recently (about 2 weeks ago) moved over my users over to a new version
of dovecot (2.0.9) and now the memory usage on the new server seems much
higher than it was before.
The new server is a CentOS 6 VM with 4 GB of RAM and 4 CPUs and
according to top, it's used up all of the RAM and all of the Swap.
Here's a sample of the output from top (sorted by allocated memory).

Dovecot 2.2.14 and per user \Seen flags
Hello,
I have a Dovecot Installation Version 2.2.14 on CentOS 6.5 with shared folder.
UserA shares his INBOX to user UserB. I activated "per user \Seen flags" with
location = maildir:%%h/Maildir:INDEX=%h/shared/%%u:CONTROL=%h/shared/%%u:INDEXPVT=%h/shared
I think the INDEXPVT setting activates this setting, right?
I activated this setting when there were already several accounts in

passwd file for quota
I need to implement quota.
I read as much as I could including
http://wiki2.dovecot.org/HowTo/SimpleVirtualInstall
But my current /etc/passwd file does not have the password in it as
shown in dovecot docs ... there is an x where the password should be.
I created a program that creates a passwd file in the proper format with
the proper extra quota fields for all users (except it has an x where
