Dear team
I am running a centos guest VM which freezes for every few days . The
qemu-kvm on shows 100% cpu utilization.
Ping to the guest might work or may not work .Please can you tell me
what approach can i take to debug it .
using "virsh dump" I can dump the core of the guest vm but I am not
sure how to analyse it .

[QEMU-KVM] Centos guest VM freezing
Hi
Thanks for the reply
We have seen the same guest VM freezing on vmware ESXi machine also , so we
were interested in know in the internal condition of the guest vm when the
freeze happened
How can we analyse the core file generated by "virsh dump "
Thanks and regards
Akshar

Dovecot pigeonhole help sought
I'm running postfix + dovecot + dovecot-pigeonhole
on my CentOS-7 home server.
I would like spam to finish up in ~/Maildir/.Spam/ .
Spam is being marked, but is not separated -
it ends up with all the other email in ~/Maildir/cur/ .
Evidently there is some step I have omitted to take.
I give the output of "sudo doveconf -n" below.
The file ~/.dovecot.sieve reads:

lvm module missing in initramfs
After upgrading the kernel package, my Centos 7 server didn't boot.
Here is a small summary:
old kernel = kernel-3.10.0-123.4.4.el7.x86_64 (everything just fine)
new kernel = kernel-3.10.0-123.6.3.el7.x86_64
root partition is on a primary partition, NOT on a LVM volume
/var partition is on a LVM volume
new kernel's boot problem = systemd cannot mount /var partition saying

Adding options to grub
So I want to add a few options to the kernel (say iommu
support). I have been told before to avoid using grub2-mkconfig
because it would apply the changes to all currently available (to boot
from) boot kernels. Instead, I should edit just the latest kernel
entry in the grub.cfg file, adding the option to the line that used to
start with "linux16" in centos6. This way, if it went boink,

Centos 7 Kernel 3.10.0-693.11.6.el7.x86_64 does not boot PV
While installing the experemental kernel on a CentOS 7 PV the following
happened. After a reboot of the PV the kernel looks to be installed but
there is no option for booting it in grub. I attempted to run yum
reinstall kernel-4.9.75-204.el7.centos.x86_64 and it installed fine but
still no entry in grub. No initramfs existed and I found kernel-modules
did not install properly so I then ran

SNOM IAX image
Hello.
I've been going through the archives, but can't discern the state or future direction of IAX on the SNOM100.
The most recent image appears to be from September 2002.
There was a message on this list stating that SNOM was coming to visit Digium last April with the intention of adding IAX support themselves.
For a while there was reference to the I100E on the asterisk and/or

Using rsync to mirror directories where root owns file, using non-root user to initiate session
I have spent a day researching and attempting to debug this issue. I am hoping someone can tell me how (or disabuse me of the delusion that it's possible) to do the following:
- Mirror the contents of a directory on one server to a remote server where there are diverse ownership and permissions
- File and directory ownership on both the source and destination servers would normally prevent
