Tracking Open Ports
Hi All, I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to notify or log when a specific remote port is openened? I have an old LDAP server that I am looking to get rid of, but there is still a few queries reaching it. The sytem authentication is setup correctly (as is Postfix), so I am thinking there must be some script or program that is setup to query the older LDAP server. I tried using lsof

sssd problems after dc1 is no longer online
Hi all, I hope that this request for help will be the last one, for a while to come. Today, sernet support helped my sort out our DC mess, and they did a great job. However, sssd no longer works, and I hope someone here can help out. We used to have DC1, DC2 and DC3. DC1 was the classic-upgraded, first, 'original' DC, and had to be shutdown, unfortunately. So only DC2 and DC3

looking for sssd basics and simple config with existing ldap centos 6.3
Hi, I'm planing to setup a new samba fileserver as a member to an existing samba 3.x SMB. The old server is still nss-pam-ldapd configured (historic left overs). As I dont have any pressure to have the new server up and running within the next few hours, I liked to set up sssd with our existing openldap. After googling and reading some documentations from redhat/fedora I think I do have a

Searching samba ldap without authentication
Hello, I'm writing a set of python scripts that need to consult samba ldap database without authentication. I've set up 2 machines, the first as PDC, the second as BDC. I run my scripts on both and while they run fine on the PDC they end with error on the BDC. Here is the minimal example that behave this way: import ldap LDAP_URI =

Mac OS X and ACL's
Hi all, I have a server that has ACL's enabled on it and the groups are set properly from the domain that are applied on top of it for the shared folders. I am running with Mac OS X 10.10.5 on the client side and am having nothing but issues with getting them to respect the ACL's set on the files. The Server Setup is as follows: Domain Server: Debian 7.9 with Samba 4.3.4 Member
