Xnest unable to connect with firewall enabled
Hi all,
I have worked on both CentOS 5.2 and CentOS 5.3. In CentOS 5.2, I could
connect to a remote X-server using Xnest binary provided by the package
xorg-x11-server-Xnest-1.1.1-48.41.el5 with firewall settings enabled. I
enabled the firewall settings from system-config-securitylevel.
Now in CentOS 5.3 with firewall settings enabled, I am unable to connect to
the remote X-server using Xnest

Unable to run iTunes 10.4.1.10 on wine-1.3.28
I installed itunes ok, but it seems to have a problem with opengl. I run Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick, 64 bit. I think my Opengl is standard, but I didn't know how to display its version.

Xnest unable to connect with firewall enabled (possible bug with 5.3)
Hi,
My requirement is to use Xnest only. It was working seamlessly with 5.2 but
not with 5.3
I am using this command to connect to the remote X-server.
Xnest :1 -geometry 800x600 -query *<ip-address-of-X-server>*
Can anyone confirm the same behavior? Or shall I file the bug in bugzilla?

[ANNOUNCE] xorg-server 1.9.99.901
Ok, I think we've done enough damage for one release. Thanks everyone
for pulling a long weekend to get changes prepared and reviewed.
We're still missing the threaded input stuff, but that needs more review
and I think we wore Tiago out this time around. If someone wants to
propose merging it after the freeze, I think we should consider doing
it.
Note that this tarball depends on

Xlib: extension "RANDR" missing on display ":1".
I get the message below whenever I run virt-manager via a vnc session.
Xlib: extension "RANDR" missing on display ":1".
This error disappears when I take off "-extension RANDR" from the
vncserver configuration. Taking this off makes the VNC session too
big for my monitor.

OK, what's the deal with the display, anyway ?
Does anyone have a consistent way to set the display for wine programs
to /anything/ (meaning something other than :0.0)? I have done the
followings:
ssh to the box I want to run the wine app from.
(As a result, DISPLAY was set to "tux:10.0")
I tried running
wine ./notepad.exe
from the Windows directory. This gave me the following:
Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by

problem to keep X11 forwarding
Dear people,
since openssh-3.8.1p1 I experience problems with the automatic
X11 forwarding. I installed openssh-3.9p1 yesterday hoping the
problems should disappear, but alas no.
It looks like the X11 autorization times out after some time,
I don't know exactly but after half an hour it surely is gone.
When I installed openssh-3.8.1p1 I also had opgraded openssl
from 0.9.7c to 0.9.7d then,

[ANNOUNCE] xorg-server 1.18.99.2
I think we're ready for RC1 at this point, but wanted to give people a
chance to scream about "just one more API change" until tomorrow. Let me
know if there's something I'm missing; if I don't hear anything, I'll be
tagging RC1 in the morning.

[ANNOUNCE] xorg-server 1.16.99.902
Ok, here's what I think we should release as 1.17. I plan on doing that
in a few days (Monday? Tuesday?), unless there's some good reason not
to. Let me know if there's some critical (i.e. crashing) fixes that I've
missed somehow. And, again, I think we can run a shorter 1.18 cycle,
given the pent-up list of fixes.
Sorry for not getting this wrapped up sooner. Turns out that
