OpenDKIM and SELinux
Following the most recent kernel updates I restarted our outgoing SMTP MTA
which was recently reconfigured to DKIM sign messages using OpenDKIM. This
morning I discovered that Postfix had stopped on that server. Whether it is
related to the Postfix issue or not is yet to be determined but, in the
process of getting things restarted I ran across this error with Open DKIM:

need assist with upstart config problem
I am trying, without success, to create an upstart config file to

I use in the script has been checked and verified from the shell but
it fails in the upstart file.
The file contents are:

Hi Leon,
I don't have access to a CentOS 6.10 system handy, but it looks like a
policy issue. If I take you're ausearch output and pipe it to

opendkim-2.9.0
There was an update to opendkim 2.10.1 which I applied and now I am
seeing this:
warning: connect to Milter service inet:127.0.0.1:8891: Connection
refused
I tried to yum history rollback to 2.9.1 but that package has
disappeared so I am evidently constrained to resolve this.
Does anyone have any idea what has happened and why I might be getting
that message?

I don't use that but have you checked to see if you now have a "rpmsave" file left after installing the update? If so, that's your old configuration and you might need to re-write the new configuration file to incorporate your

Restarting one of our named services produces this entry in the system

CentOS-6, Postfix and Mailman
We have a bunch of lists hosted on a CentOS-4.9 server
running sendmail and mailman that we are moving to a
CentOS-6 vm running postfix and mailman. I am testing the
setup and I am running into a problem no doubt caused by
my own ignorance wrt postfix.
Based on groking the web I discovered that the recommended
way to configure postfix to work with mailman is a script

about the script /etc/qemu-ifup with nmcli command
Hi,
I have tried the qemu-ifup script as below with nmcli command as brctl is
deprecated on rhel8, but the guest network can not work.
I think the script needs update. Could you please help to have a look?
Thank you in advance.
1. prepare a linux bridge on the host named br0;
2. prepare the qemu-ifup script as below:
# cat /etc/qemu-ifup
#!/bin/bash
# A br0 bridge should be already set up.

SElinux and Samba
Ok, so there is not a problem with SElinux and Samba. But it is a
pain to set up so it will work right. I finally figured out how to
set up SE and Samba so you can be able to write and delete files.
I found in one of that man pages "man samba_selinux", you can just
disable SE for samba. I am sure there are other ways also but this
is what I have found so far. I tried to just

Fedora packages or Enterprise packages of Samba on RHEL4?
Hello,
Can somebody of the Samba team explain me the difference of Fedora packages
or Enterprise packages ( <http://enterprisesamba.com/>
http://enterprisesamba.com/) of Samba on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4?
I tried to find any information about this subject, but googleing doesn't
help me.
The standard Samba package (3.0.10EL) of RHEL4 doesn't communicate with a

strange strsplit gsub problem 0 is this a bug or a string length limitation?
I was working with the rmetrics portfolioBacktesting function and dug into
the code to try to find why my formula with 113 items, i.e. A1 thru A113,
was being truncated and I only get 85 items, not 113.
Is it due to a string length limitation in R or is it a bug in the strsplit
or gsub functions, or in my string?
I'd very much appreciate any suggestions

Windows 10 does not register dns in samba 4.3.4
Are your running more domains on this samba server, this is the primary domain? tplk.loc ?
The settings below looks good, you can try setting ipv4 preffered over ipv6 ( or disable ipv6)
You can try also it with a fixed primary dns suffix.
