cannot kickstart centos 6 on Dell Blade error cannot find c0t0
I have an intermittent problem with my Dell blades, out of 80 blades 69
of them kickstarted Centos 6 fine using PXE
The other 11, I get a c0t0 not found error (indicating it is not
finding the local disk on the blade).
I can remote mount the iso image and do a basic install of centos on
these blades, but when I go to do a pxe boot it gives me that error again.
I have googled the issue and

Migration from VMWare to HP Blade
Hi all,
A few months ago, I migrated some of our internal servers to HP blades, as
the VMWare box they were previously running on was getting too slow.
However, it wasn't without it's problems, and eventually the only way I
could get them to work was:
Install the same version of CentOS on the blade (believed to be 5.0, but
/etc/redhat-release says 5.2)
Took down both servers, booting

mboot.c32, weird e820 map on HP blade machine, possible memory corruption
I'm seeing this on a HP Blade and i'm not sure why this is happning since
the nature of the issue is so wierd.
I compiled mboot.c with a DEBUG defined in the mboot.c file. In the funciton
init_mmap(), it prints the e820 map and on the HP blade this map values come
out to be totally random. Some weird numbers which dont make any sense at
all.
However, if i add a while(1); or a exit(1); at

Kickstarts failing 30% of time on Dell 620 blades
I have a large set of Dell 620 blades fully populated with memory and
duel socket CPUs, Centos6.4 image.
I have a kickstart that I am using to pxe boot 36 blades.
I have two internal drives which are raid1 (two disks formed into one,
no redundancy), not san attached
In the first set, 9 successfully completed. 7 more built correctly after
trying another pxe boot. 2 just wont pxeboot

Mixing SCSI devices on a single i/f
I have an external HP SureStore DLT VS80 with a SCSI LVD 68 pin
interface and an external HP SureStore DAT24 with a SCSI Centronics
50 pin Narrow SE interface. The cable for the DAT has a Centronics
connector at one end and a 68 Pin Wide to Narrow terminated
connector at the other. The cable for the DLT has a LVD/SE 68 pin
connector at both ends. I have terminator blocks for both devices.

Better way of Grouping?
Hello R users,
This is more of a convenience question that I hope others might find useful
if there is a better answer. I work with large datasets that requires
multiple parsing stages for different analysis. For example, compare group
3 vs. group 4. A more complicated comparison would be time B in group 3 of
group L with B in group 4 of group L. I normally subset each group with

Problem with blades that wont kickstart
About 15% of my blades wont kickstart.
I checked to see, and they all seem to be 100% compatible.
I currently do not own/direct access the kickstart server, I will build
one later.
Is it possible they fat fingered the MAC address of the problem blades
when they put them into the PXE server? As I can build them from a
locally mounted virtual CD, but cannot build from PXE
At first I was

Noise on FXS ports (Sangoma)
Hi:
I have a Sangoma A200 card installed in a server with two FXO modules
and one FXS module.
Analog sets connected to the FXS module have a "squeaky static" -- it's
like static mixed with the sound of someone vigorously cleaning a window
a few doors down.
In other words, it's not a classic static noise, but it is noise, and
it's distracting. Remote callers can hear this

IBM BladeCenter HS20 blades
Greetings,
We have purchased an IBM BladeCenter and I am in the process of testing
Linux installation on these things (boot off SAN i.e. qla2300 driver,
not using internal drives). My distro of choice is Debian, however,
since I'm really not interested in trying to hand compile all the
drivers, I decided to try CentOS (which I'm so far very impressed with).
On boot, as with the

[stable 9]Dell R620 Ethernet Ordering
I'm trying to understand the newbus and acpi interactions on this Dell
R620 that result in the Broadcom adapter board being probed "backwards"
or just plain out of order in comparison to the connector layout and the
linux tg3 driver.
We seem to be detecting PCI0:2:0 before PCI0:1:0. This seems odd to me.
When I replace the broadcom daughter card with an intel daughter card,

Evidently, even with argument identifiers order matters. That worked
just fine and dandy.
Now I guess I need to play with the order of the nut-scanner arguments
to see if I get a similar result.

Restart problem - HP Blade servers EVA 4000 - Suse Linux 10 - ocfs2
Hello,
configuration:

- disc array HP EVA 4000 with two controllers HSV200
- OS: SUSE Linux 10 (SLES) x86_64

Asterisk on Dell blade servers
We've been asked to quote for a large cluster running Asterisk and our
ITSP in a box product. The system will be SIP throughout, with mixed
codecs.
We're considering using Dell blade servers, 1855 or similar, on the
grounds that we normally use Dell machines and they work well, but we
need higher rack density.
Has anyone used these? Any feedback on whether they're

CentOS 7 in HP Blade BL620c Gen 7
Anyone running CentOS 7 here in HP Blade BL620c Gen 7 when I use the live
DVD the network card can detect and I can use without issue however when I
install the CentOS 7 with Server GUI. The network card can no longer
detect. I tried to google the driver for this hardware machine but No luck.

There _are_ systems with hot-swap CPUs, memory and/or, PCI[-X] slots.
They are _not_ commodity and pricey, and require OS-level support.
In fact, I believe Linux 2.6 has some support for

Is there a howto for using redboot to kickoff a pxelinux boot?
The subject says it all.
I'm using rocks cluster software to startup a small blade cluster in my
lab. The blades I have redboot installed on them. I am able to boot
any client that has pxeboot capability using my setup, except for these
blades. My thoughs were using redboot commands to do the following:
1. load -v -r -b 0x8000000 -h 10.1.1.1 pxelinux.0
2. start
This however caused my
