MediaTemple Image upload
Hi All,
I''m hosting with MediaTemple who are currently using 0.3.3 of mongrel
on their GridServer. My rails app has an image upload facility
whereby if you upload a large image (e.g. 5Mb) mongrel crashes. I''ve
requested an upgrade to the latest version of mongrel but don''t
believe that''s going to happen too soon. I''m not getting too much

Samba 4.8.3 out of memory error
Our domain controllers have run samba 4.4.3 since it was released. We
didn't upgrade because it was so stable :)
I recently decided that release was too old and upgraded to 4.8.2
(then current). Our domain controllers were crashing on 4.8.2 so I
upgraded to 4.8.3 as soon as it was released but this has not resolved
the issue.
When the issue occurs the DC becomes unresponsive and needs to be

Why does my DomU keep going mad?
Hi All,
I''ve got a DomU that sometimes goes mad. I can''t ssh or usually even
console to it. The time I did manage to console I got a load of dumps
about being out of memory and swap, but couldn''t run any commands to
find out which process had gone mad :(
From Dom0 I can see the DomU at 100% CPU and can only stop it with a
destroy. What can I do/check to find

Out of memory? We?ve definitely seen similar symptoms (it?s been a while, so I?m not sure they were identical) for compute nodes running large memory jobs.

XEN Dom 0 boot and Out of Memory issue
Hi all,
Recently I build XEN 4.1 (from the xen.org) on centIOS 5.5 (kernel 2.6.38.4). After changing the grub file and rebooting the machine, I am continuously getting out of memory error. The content of my grub file:

Memory leak - how to investigate
My web & name server runs out of memory from time to time, to the point
where it's completely unresponsive to anything. At that point reset is
the only alternative. (Or, as this is a virtual guest, I just say "virsh
destroy").
But why this happens - I would like to know.
The host in question is a KVM guest, and runs CentOS 6.4.
From "top" (situation now):

Spawn mongrel on demand
Hello Zed !
Do you knows or plan a way to spawn mongrel processes on demand ?
I''m studying options to build an affordable but solid shared hosting
solution.
You wrote something very promising in your "NEXT STEPS",
A combination of the ''"mostly C version'' and the mongrel_cluster
replacement would be an elegant method to save much RAM on servers

rsync seems to hang when --delete option is used.
Hi,
When I use --delete option, it seems to hang for over 8 hours on 4.5Gb
of total data. But when I remove the --delete option, I can see it
starts rsyncing. Has anyone encounter this problem before?

Hello, all:
I have a program problem, ( may it not have close releationship with
Debian), it described like this:
I want to using #define / #undef, and want to put them in a single macro,
some thing like:

{ #undef __curr_type; #define _curr_type type; }
as we know, this can not passed with CPP, but I need this logical here.
Generally, the problem comes from

Xen HVM and tap:aio
Hello,
I'm wondering if anyone out there is doing tap:aio disk devices on a Xen HVM
vm with any success. Please let me know if you are, and perhaps your
version info and a config file snippet.
I've posted this to the xen-users list, and what I'm trying to do seems to
be correct, works on Ubuntu, Debian, and XenSource; but it doesn't work on
CentOS.
Here's the snippet from my
