If it had two (or more) network ports, I'd be all over it. A single
gigabit nic is a bit limiting for me.

Mini PCs
I have been working, for the past few years, with armv7 SOCs and have a
number of servers working.
Intel, etal are catching up with ARM and I have seen ones like:

I am looking for a low power (this is 10W) x86_64 board that has at
least 2 core and 2GB memory. A single

Twin HDMI
Hello,
I have an Intel NUC7PJYH running CentOS 6.8. This is a NUC with standard USB, 1GbE and 2*HDMI.
Installation was no problem providing acpi=off.
The problem is that by default the two displays are mirrored and I can?t seem to separate them.
I can only see one HDMI port from CentOS.
I need to see both HDMI ports discreetly.
Can you please help.

Xen hypervisor on CentOS 7.4 with modern UEFI server not booting from grub
I checked and secure boot is turned off.
Jonathan brings it exactly to the point: we have to face UEFI because
legacy mode is fading out, if I enable legacy mode I can't even boot
anymore through the network (PXE) as these newer network cards can
only boot PXE with UEFI.
In the mean time I have installed Ubuntu 17.10 with Xen and I was
lucky to see that this combination works with UEFI even

Hi John, why not try something newer than CentOS 6.8 ?
Maybe not the latest 8.1 but 7.7 is quite recent and stable.

Location of grub.conf etc. with UEFI boot (CentOS 6)
Hi,
What's the proper/normal way of setting up GRUB for a CentOS 6
installation that boots using UEFI? I've recently set up such a system,
but for technical reasons I mentioned in an earlier post, I booted in
"legacy" mode during installation, which meant I didn't get the correct
UEFI boot configuration, and had to set it up subsequently "by hand".
I've

Install CentOS 7 on MBR hard disk
I have a UEFI system, but I want to install CentOS on a MBR (not GPT)
hard disk.
The installation program keeps telling me that I must create an "EFI
system partition on a GPT disk mounted at /boot/efi".
I can't find a way to work around this. Is there a solution?

UEFI and PXE
We have a working PXE setup. I've tried to adapt it to UEFI as per
RHEL6 manual, but the client won't boot.
Strangely, tcpdump shows that the client tries to download all files via
tftp from the dhcp server rather than the tftp server (they are
different). next-server is pointing to the tftp server.
Any clues?

UEFI boot blank screen post update
Hi folks,
I am able to install workstation successfully on a dedicated SSD w/ GPT
partition w/ UEFI boot using the latest `CentOS-8.2.2004-x86_64-dvd1.iso`
from a bootable pen drive.
The motherboard is ASRock x570 Gaming 4 (

Read only nfsroot and diskless booting CentOS 6?
Does anyone have any good how-to's or documentation on setting up read only root NFS for pxe booting diskless computers? A few months ago I stumbled upon an official Redhat doc through a google search(not hosted by redhat and I cannot find it anywhere on the Redhat site) written by Dave Kline named "Configuring diskless clients with Red Hat Enterprise Linux" from 2011. It seemed to

Alternative to laptop
I am considering buying a small, and therefore easily portable, computer as an alternative to the laptop I already have. Obviously it would not have battery, a screen, nor a keyboard etc. but more or less be an easily portable computing unit to move between offices where a keyboard and monitor(s) could then be connected. I want to run CentOS 7, later CentOS 8.
The smaller, the better, however,

Installing mSATA Solid State Drive in Dell Precision M3800
I'm considering getting a Dell Precision M3800 Mobile Workstation, would
want to install my own mSATA SSD in it. Does anyone here have one of
these machines? If so, is an SSD a user-installable component? And if
so again, how much needs to be taken apart?
Thanks much.
