CentOS 6.4, LAMP, MariaDB
Hi,
I am trying to install a LAMP stack using MariaDB on CentOS 6.4, 64
bit. I have installed MariaDB by using the MariaDB repository
configuraton tool. I installed php by itself. Both MariaDB and php
individually test fine.
I know that php-mysql has to be installed to complete the LAMP stack
installation. From lots of googling I understand that there is a
php-mysql and a php-mysqlnd.

Set static IP
Hello,
I want my CentOS 6.5 computer to have a static IP. Currently I get the
IP I want because I have my router assign it on the basis of mac address.
I placed the following file as:
/etc/sysconfig/networking-scripts/eth0
DEVICE="eth0"
BOOTPROTO=static
HWADDR=00:1F:D0:9E:AE:67
ONBOOT=yes
TYPE=Ethernet
USERCTL=no
IPV6INIT=no
PEERDNS=yes
NETMASK=255.255.255.0
IPADDR=192.168.0.99

Should I upgrade Samba 3.6 to Samba 4.1
Hi,
I just installed Samba on my Centos 6.4 computer. Smbstatus says my
version is 3.6.9-151.el6-4.1.
My smb.conf file only has a [global] and [homes] section.
My configuration works, as expected, from a Win7 Virtual Box computer
and a Win8 Virtual Box computer. I can see the share from the Windows
file explorer and can map the share to a network drive. The Samba server
is not virtual.

Message lamp integration with legacy pbx during conversion
I posted this earlier on the development list. For those of you who watch both lists, please pardon the duplication.
Currently, in our * lab we use all SIP phones so the MWI NOTIFY works perfect.
I would like to do a pilot with some legacy gear, however. Accordingly, I'd like to be able to have * dial 1000X where X is the box that has a new voicemail message and 1001X when the user of mb X

[Atcom] Asterisk + LAMP on 128MB RAM?
Hello
I'm thinking of selling an Asterisk server based on Atcom's IP02
solid-state unit with one FXO and one FXS ports:
http://atcom.cn/En_products_IP02.htm
By default, this unit based on a 400MHz Blackfin 532 chip only has
64MB RAM and 256MB of NAND flash. Those can be increased to 128MB and
1GB, respectively.
Do you think I can install Linux + Asterisk + LAMP (replacing MySQL

Hi everyone,
Do you know any good LAMP developers in Israel who are open to doing

or individuals with experience in e-commerce and shopping solutions as
well as content management systems. Mostly PHP, Java, Rails,
Javascript, MySQL, etc. You know the drill.
If you or someone you know might be interested, please let me know

updating a Centos 6 lamp stack
Hello,
I've got a new centos 6 system it's i386 and I'm wanting to update
it's lamp stack, specifically httpd, php, and mysql. Also, if postfix
as an MTA would be available that's a plus.
I've checked out the centos wiki and it looks like I have two choices
for third party repos for this task. I have enabled rpmforge as of
now. The two repos I'm seeing are Les RPM de

External MW Lamp On/Off
One of the connections my asterisk PBX has is an analog
extension from a Comdial hybrid.
On the Comdial system, message waiting is turned on by dialing
*3 and then the station number.
It is turned off by dialing #3 and the station number.
I was wanting to have Asterisk (or Comedian mail) set the
message lamp in the Comdial system when a new message arrives for a
user, and extinguish the lamp

Busy Lamp Field SIP Phone
Does anyone have a recommendation for a good SIP phone with a busy lamp
field? I need my operator to be able to see extension status for about
20 extensions and transfer via HOLD + extension button. I've got a pair
of SNOM 360s with the sidecar, but I'm very disappointed with them. The
buttons are cheap and rubbery like a Sipura 841, the handset cord is
short and cheap, the audio quality

Dual boot with 2 drives
Hi,
I have a laptop with 2 hard drives. The first has Fedora 20 (no windows
or anything else) and the second is unused. I would like to install
CentOS7 on the unused drive so I can dual boot with the choice of the 2
OS's on the Grub menu.
I am comfortable in partitioning drives and installing Linux
distributions. I am afraid I may mess up the MBR and/or set up Grub
incorrectly so I

easiest rails install for LAMP webserver?
Greetings! Here''s my first nuby question, apologies to all because it''s
probably not /your/ first time hearing one.
I''ve been learning Ruby lately, and would like to start some Rails
development as soon as school''s done. So, in the midst of finals and
term papers and moving out into the world of dial-up, I''d like to get
things set up on a hosted

Virtual Hosts question
I am running Wordpress on a CentOS 6.5 server which is behind a router.
The private IP is 192.168.0.99, the public URL is X.com (name changed).
I have two virtual hosts in my httpd.conf file. The second one, listed
below, is for Wordpress and it is accessed with http://X.com/d4i or
http://www.X.com/d4i. They work fine.
Actually, not show, I have more Wordpress virtual hosts, and they are

Message lamp integration with legacy pbx -- revisited
I see from the archives that Siggi Langauf was wanting to do exactly
what I want to do back in November 2003.
Here is what he asked:

I'd like to be able to have * dial 1000X where X is the box that has a
