Hi,
I''m new to the script.aculo.us library and AJAX. Of course, I already
want to use a sortable list for something more complicated than the
sortable list demo. In the example below, what is the structure of
params[:list]? I don''t know what I can do with it once I have it in my
controller method.

sortable - after complete dropping element want to send ajax reqeust with id of elements: draggable and droppable
Hi all. I have specific situations - I use sortable on html list, and
after I move elements I want to do ajax reqeust to serwer with the id
of dragging element and id of the element that was droppable. How to do
it? which function in Sortable class i have to overrider or modify? i
try to modife onhover method in sortable and put a ajaxRequest call
before methods

Newbie Question - Dropping to a Sortable
Hi,
I am fairly new to Ajax and script.aculo.us - I have looked into the
mailling list archive but could not find a simple enough answer to my
problem.
I want to allow users to
- drag an item from list A and drop to listB, leaving the list A item in
place (as in the Drag & drop shop example,

Script.aculo.us: Dynamic Sortable List Problems
This is my first post to this mailing list so I hope its in the right
location.I''m trying to use a list of draggables (not sortable) which I can
drag into a droppable div. The goal is to create a new item, not to move
from one list to the other.

sortable_element does not initiate AJAX calls
Having an odd problem with sortable_element. The :url option doesn;t
seem to actually work. No AJAX calls are being generated. I can tell
because Firebug extension does not show any AJAX requests, and the
development.log file does not do anything when droppping the items in
new positions.
Here is the code I am using for sortable generation:

Sortable: Ajax not firing?
Using Rails to generate a sortable list, I get the draggable/sortable page
elements, but Ajax never fires back the post-sorted list. (I''ve checked with
IE & Firefox, the "save this order to the DB" controller hasn''t been

trunk-- please help testing it!
Besides testing the sortable trees itself, reports about any side
effects
on draggables or standard sortables are more than welcome.

Dropping on empty script.aculo.us sortable lists
I have a need to have two sortable lists with the ability to cross drop
items between the list. I am using the
script.aculo.us<http://script.aculo.us>library. All is well until I
empty one of the lists completely out, at which
time I cannot drop anything in to the empty list. I have used CSS to set the
height of the <UL> so I have a large target to drop on.

Allowing drops on "empty" sortable
Hey folks,
On the Drag and Drop demo page in the Sortable Lists Demo section:

If you drag all of the items from the first list into the second list,
it appears that you cannot drag a list item back into the first (now
empty) list.
Is there a way to allow a Sortable that is empty of draggable items to
accept dropped items?

Sortable list: how to create a triggering "handle"/deactivate part of the <li> element?
Hi all,
When using sortable lists, a click anywhere in a <li> element will
trigger the "sort_by_dragging" mode, and have the clicked element follow
the mouse. The active area is the entire <li> element.

Multiple dynamic Sortables
I''m writing an appliation that contains several dynamically created lists. I
had hoped that the following method for using the Sortable library from
scriptaculous would work:
1) create the list
2) create a Sortable for it
3) create another list
4) create a Sortable for it
