In-place editor inside a Draggable
Hello,
I have noticed that when an In-place editor is inside a Draggable in IE it
is real sketchy, cannot highlight text and plain out cannot edit in Firefox.
Respectfully,

InPlaceEditor scrolls to top in Firefox?
When I click an InPlaceEditor field in Firefox 1.0.7, the page scrolls
up to the top. That''s disconcerting, and often ends up with the
editable field out of the viewable pane. I can duplicate this on both
Mac and PC. Is there a way to prevent this? Even the demo at
http://wiki.script.aculo.us/scriptaculous/show/Ajax.InPlaceEditor does
this.

In place editing an empty field
I am trying to use the Scriptaculous InPlaceEditor and in some cases the
field will be empty. That is, the field currently has no value but the
user wants to enter a value.
The InPlaceEditor appears to not work in this case. Other identical
fields (except wit different ids and some value) do work.
I have tried using a nonbreaking space ( ), and this does cause the
editor to appear,

making an element draggable after it's been dropped in a drop zone
Hi,
I have this code which allows me to drop a draggable item in to a
droppable zone. It works fine but what i want to happen is once the
item ( droppable) has been dropped in to the drop zone (dropp) for the
item to be draggable again. At the moment once ive dropped the item in
the drop zone i can''t make it draggable again.....even if i repeat

In-place editor for a whole form?
I want to implement in-place editing for a hierarchical structure where
the nodes are not simple text fields, but need to be represented by at
least two input elements.
The Rails helpers only support in-place editing for a text field,
scriptaculous''s controls.js beyond that implements support for an
in-place editor containing a select element. I need an editor where I

Hi,
I am trying to pass others paramenter to the function
InPlaceCollectionEditor, but I think that is not possible

if(this.options.loadTextURL) this.loadExternalText();
this.form.appendChild(this.editField);
this.options.callback = function(form, value) {

RE: Make all LI items draggable
If you want the whole list draggable as one entity, you make one
draggable. If you want each item draggable on their own, you need to
make each one a new draggable.

InPlaceEditor crash on Safari
Quick question..
I often crash my Safari when using ''Enter'' on InPlaceEditor''s for
submitting.
Works fine on firefox(win & Mac) - no javascript errors.
Anyone else seen this behavior?
(Maybe it is just my alterings of InPlaceEditor :-)

Capturing the position of a draggable element
I would like to capture the position of a draggable element after it''s
being dragged, but I am running into problem using several options, such
as "change", "revert" and "onEnd". My callback handler would only fire
when the page loads, and not when the element is dragged. How can I make
this happen?

Extend Draggable
Hello all,
I want to extend a draggable object so it has one more attribute (type
attribute, so I can distinguish different draggable types).
Can anyone tell me how to do it?
I''ve search throught the examples (like
http://wiki.script.aculo.us/scriptaculous/show/ExtendClass) but I
can''t seem to understand what I should do.
Thanks for you help,

Passing a draggable element''s attributes to controller on drop
I''ve browsed the list and noticed a few similar questions in the
archive about maintaining the position of a draggable element after
dropping it ... but I couldn''t find any conclusion about the problem.
Has there been anyone found or implemented a solution? Or does
prototype still need to be extended to allow the persistence of the
draggable object''s position?

declaring draggable object that holds it position

doesn''t work the way I expected it to, I would like my draggable to remain
where it was dropped, currently I have a draggable div and a droppable div.

Draggable item absolutely positioned inside relative div
Actually, it''s a bit more complicated than that...
I have a div (we''ll call it the "portal") of a fixed size and absolute
positioning, with an overflow: scroll set. Inside, I have a container
div with relative positioning. This inner container has a series of
absolutely-positioned elements which are draggable with a vertical
constraint. The height of the container is

Draggable question
Should / will a drag and drop work on a form element (select menu,
text box, etc), and more specifically is it simply a matter of
defining a new draggable and setting it to the id of the element, or
do I need more voodoo in my mojo :) to accomplish it ?
TIA

scriptaculous: Draggable and table rows
I''m trying to add drag/drop for moving rows between two tables, and not
having much luck... I can get images to be drag-able OK so I know all
the script files are in the right place ;-) But no joy with table rows.
Is this a Draggable and/or Javascript/HTML limitation?
Here''s what I''m trying:

Finding Final Position with a Draggable Object
Hello,
I have a draggable window. I would like to have it so that when they
come back to the page with the draggable window that it remembers where
they left it when they last visited. How would I get the final position
after the dragging has been stopped? I have been looking threw the wiki
and couldn''t find anything.

[PATCH] in-place-editor, AJAX loading
I sent this on Friday but somehow managed to email it to the wrong email
address!
----
Attached is a patch to add external (AJAX) loading of content to the
InPlaceEditor.
2 extra options have been added:
loadUrl:
a URL to load the content from. If this is present, it will be used
instead of the innerHTML.
fieldId:
I had to add this so we know what the text field is when we''ve
