RE: Prototype: correct useage of onComplete withAjax.PeriodicalUpdater
>From a quick look at the source code, it looks like onComplete is only called when the whole thing is done - in the case of Updater, right after the update, in the case of PeriodicalUpdater, right after it has been stopped. It looks like you need to pass your callback method as an ''insertion'' method in the options. This takes two parameters, the first will probably be the

Custom tooltip component?
I am looking to develop a custom tool tip component for a list of links. ...Which is kind of not that big a deal. But, and this seems to be the tricky part, I also want to be able to set/specify the interval threshold after which to display the tool tip. (and by nature of "tool tip", don''t display if the mouse moves out during that interval. etc) Any suggestions? Could

Ajax.Request: onLoading executed after onComplete in IE
Hi, i''m trying to use a visual indicator for my Ajax requests. It''s based on the shopping cart demo at script.aculo.us and works great in Firefox, Konqueror and Opera, but fails in IE6. For some reason (timing problems?) onComplete is executed before onLoading, so the indicator is shown but not hidden when the request has finished. Oddly enough it works fine in the shopping

RE: Prototype: correct useage of onCompletewithAjax.PeriodicalUpdater
The only call that PeriodicalUpdater will make periodically to you is the insertion call. I think of onComplete as being ''I''ve done everything I was going to do'', which for Updater is right after it''s done a single update, but for PeriodicalUpdater, it''s after it''s finished all of its updates, so you''ll only get it once for any call

Multiple ajax calls
This is slightly OT for which I apologise in advance, but I was wondering if anyone here has had any problems when making multiple ajax calls at the same time. I''m working on a large Intranet application which makes heavy use of ajax calls and the bugs are flying in from the testers that if they repeatedly click on a link that makes an ajax call then Internet Explorer can fall

dynamically change frequency in periodicalUpdater
Hello All, I''ve seen this topic but it seems no one has post a response. I''m using periodicalUpdater to display live content queried from a database. Sometimes the result can be thousands of rows and before it finishes processing (displaying as a visual indicator) all the data, the next request is sent to the server. data in form of a date
Dear all, I often use dates and times in analyses. I just can't figure out how to format my date or time column in R. So, apparently R sees the date as something other than date (character). Let's say I am opening a CSV file, one of the columns of which is a date or time. How do I specify that when opening the file? Thanks for the help, Jim --
