update_page yields escaped code in callback
Hi All,
The subject pretty well describes what I am experiencing. This line in
an .rhtml template:
<%= link_to_remote menu_item.humanize,
{:update => ''section'',
:url =>{:controller => menu_item},
:complete => update_page do |page|
page.activate_tab("#{menu_item}_tab", ''menu_'')

Home drive and logon scripts intermitently not applied
Hi folks,
This problem has been driving me nuts for the last 3 years... Now I am
running Samba 4.0.9 but the very same was happening before the
migration to AD, with Samba 3.x. Most clients are running WinXP SP3
with all updates.
The problem is that both the logon script and home drive defined on
the "Profile" tab on the AD Users and Computers MMC, *RANDOMLY* and
*INTERMITENTLY* does

No Jeremy, excuse me, the error was in my email. The correct command is

Hrm, I would much rather just have LLVM be a drop in replacement for

sessions failing on debian apache2 fast_cgi
Hi All,
So I just pushed our rails app to our production server, but I''ve
encountered a number of problems.
Firstly the fast_cgi processes seem to be eating up a hell of a lot of
memory, at times max out our 1gig of RAM. I''ve switched back to cgi for
the moment, but independently of that sessions seem to be failing
intermitently.
The session will hold itself stable for a

The problem is that eth1 links up and down intermitently (between 1-2 minutes).
What can i do?
Thanks

Connectivity issues
Samba 3.2.5
I'm running into an issue when using Vista to access Samba shares. I'm
able to connect intermitently and it stays connected for a brief period of
time (under 60 seconds) before I get the following error on the Vista box:
"Network path was not found"
In syslog it shows:

Database Modeller (Mac)
Can anyone recommend a database modelling tool for the Mac? I''m
building a new Rails app and want an interface to draw out the
database''s entity relationship diagram, setup foreign keys and then
output DDL at the end to MySQL.
I''ve previously used DBDesigner, CASE Studio and some pricier

Actually, there should be a way around it.

[LLVMdev] Inline Assembly
In order to get to the next stage with LLVM (like compiling a kernel) we
need to allow "pass through" of inline assembly so things like device
drivers, interrupt vectors, etc. can be written. While this feature
breaks the "pure" LLVM IR, I don't see any way around it.
So, I thought I'd bring it up here so we can discuss potential
implementations. I think we should

repeat_every doesn''t tie in with first_run...
Ezra,
Sorry for inundating the list. In using the autostart, repeat_every,
and first_run, I noticed a behaviour I didn''t expect.
I would like the job to run starting at 2am, and then every 24 hours.
So I set first_run to Time.now.beginning_of_day + 2.hours, and
repeat_every to 24.hours.
The problem is if backgroundrb starts up at 6am (due to a code change
or server bump), then the

Winbind offline logon
Hi,
I have a question about Winbinds offline logon capabilities.
We are working on integration of laptops with winbind in to our Linux Workstation Managment System, but have some difficulties to verify the desired functionality. For that we are running the latest samba (currently 3.0.25rc1) . Authentication is setup against Windows AD 2003 with R2 extensions (rfc2703bis) .

Intermitent Samba connection problem
Some of the computers in our network keep having trouble connecting to
samba
I was able to restore the connectivity by placing the computer and IP
address in the host file.
Immediately after that the client was able to connect. It is my
understanding that when Samba is
using WINS if the WINS server fails to respond within a certain length
of time then these are the types
of errors I will get. Is

GPL PV Intermitent Network Problems
Well, I seem to have developed a strange issue with the GPL PV drivers
in Windows. I''m running Xen 3.2 on SLES 10 SP2 and running some Windows
XP HVM domUs. Most (12-15) of my Windows machines work just fine. Two
of them, though, have started exhibiting a strange behavior with
intermittent network connectivity. Basically, the network starts up and
connects initially. After some

Intermitent ''lost connection to mysql'' error
Hi,
I''ve been looking at Ruby on Rails for an in-house project where I
work. After I got everything setup correctly (apache, fcgi, mysql, etc)
I''ve started to run into "lost connection to mysql" errors. I googled
to try and find a solution, but most of the problems people seem to be
having are constant and simple to fix. I haven''t found anyone talking
