ALPN and Http/2, CentOS 7.4
Now that 7.4 CR has delivered OpenSSL 1.0.2, I should be able to serve http/2 pages to Chrome, but I still see messages that ALPN is not enabled. OpenSSL 1.0.2 is installed: $ rpm -qa |grep openssl openssl-libs-1.0.2k-8.el7.x86_64 openssl-1.0.2k-8.el7.x86_64 But https://tools.keycdn.com/http2-test says "www.stevenstern.me" supports http 2 but ALPN is not supported. Ideas? Does

HA firewall with tinc
I have 2 firewall in HA with keepalived. Can I use active the same tinc configuration on 2 firewalls ? using tun Interface with same ip on all 2 nodes is a problem ? tun device advertise itself on the network having an IP/MAC pairs (ARP) or the IP is only used by the system internally for routing so using the same configuration is right ? so one firewall be active, the other is passive. Shutting down a GlusterFS server.
Hi, I have a 2-node replica volume running with GlusterFS 3.3.2 on Centos 6.4. I want to shut down one of the gluster servers for maintenance. Any best practice that is to be followed while turning off a server in terms of services etc. Or can I just shut down the server. ? The Shorewall list server is back on line
There was a lengthy power failure here in Shoreline this morning and my firewall did not come back up when power was restored. The firewall is now up and service to the server has been restored. -Tom -- Tom Eastep \ Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool Shoreline, \ http://shorewall.net Washington USA \ teastep@shorewall.net PGP Public Key \

FileSize changing in GlusterNodes
Hi, When I upload files into the gluster volume, it replicates all the files to both gluster nodes. But the file size slightly varies by (4-10KB), which changes the md5sum of the file. Command to check file size : du -k *. I'm using glusterFS 3.3.1 with Centos 6.4 This is creating inconsistency between the files on both the bricks. ? What is the reason for this changed file size and how can

Ubuntu GlusterFS in Production
Hi, Is anyone using GlusterFS on Ubuntu in production? Specifically, I'm looking at using the NFS portion of it over a bonded interface. I believe I'll get better speed than user the gluster client across a single interface. Setup: 3 servers running KVM (about 24 VM's) 2 NAS boxes running Ubuntu (13.04 and 13.10) Since Gluster NFS does server side replication, I'll put

Slow writing on mounted glusterfs volume via Samba
Hi guys, I have configured gluster fs in replication mode in two ubuntu servers. Windows users use samba sharing to access the mounted volume. Basically my setup is that client machines on each site connect to its local file server so it has the fattest connection. Two files servers are connected via VPN tunnel which has really high bandwidth Right now it is very slow to write files to the

Building and packaging httpd
Hi, Am rebuilding httpd from scratch to enable http2 and minimize extra modules on Cent Os 8. Am having trouble understanding the spec file [0] and systemd initialization [1][2][3] (these are very similar to those extracted from [4]). Why are 3 scripts needed to start the service and why is a pid setting not needed as used in the httpd.service file at [5]? Benson [0]
