Hi, I modified my kickstart to do some custom partioning and formating in a pre-install script. I am trying to align the partitions on the RAID stripe (and format with a correct stride). But, sfdisk complains that it does not start/end on a cylinder boundary (used -L option to limit complaining). Since the cylinder size is not a multiple of the stripe size, I cannot align on both. Hey, since RH took control of glusterfs, I've been looking to convert our old independent RAID storage servers to several non RAID glustered ones. The thing is that I, here and there, heard a few frightening stories from some users (even with latest release). Since this is an entry level server, I can't use the classic HP bootable utilities to create smaller volumes et can only create a big RAID6. Hi, I upgraded my USB install keys (as per wiki) to 6.3 and now it freezes during the boot... It displays the boot.msg content, plus "boot:" (from ldlinux.sys); but it freezes after that, before displaying the syslinux.cfg menu... Hi, just wondering if there was a way to boot while ignoring sysctl.conf... A colleague messed up one parameter, that ended up crashing the server at boot time. Booting in single was not helping.
