Your opinion about RHCSA certification
Hello to all,
I'm currently studying (and collecting notes here
https://github.com/fdicarlo/RHCSA_cs) for RHCSA. My plan is to RHCSA
-> RHCE and then RHCSS.
What I want to ask you is:
- What do you think about it?
- Did you find it useful?
- Do you have any advices?
Best regards,
Fabrizio

CentOS users in Warsaw
Hello to all,
I'm currently working in Symantec Warsaw, but I'm coming from Italy, and I
want to ask if there are some CentOS users in Warsaw, just for drinking
some beers or talk about some topics (I'm studying for RHCSA).
Best regards,

Migration from 32 to 64 bits
Hello to all,
currently I have CentOS 6.4 32 bit, very simple setup on my notebook,
I want to migrate it from 32 to 64 bits cause I want to play with some
VMs etc etc.
Do you have some suggestions on how to do backup of folders (mainly I
have 1 user) or just copy the user folder and stop?

[PATCH] build: improve maintainer-check-extra-dist target
Filter out from the git ls-files output the files we don't care they
appeared (gnulib and intltools stuff), and use comm to only show the
remaining added files (i.e. files not being distributed).
The output of comm is redirected to file and then printed, so we can
check it is empty (failing the target if not).

Hello!
I'm trying to install R-3.0.1 on an Ubuntu machine (64 bit, version 13.04). I have uninstalled and installed several times, but to no avail.
I keep getting errors about missing ldpaths, and installing packages does not work at all.
Here is the information:

python-guestfs rbd
how to use python-guestfs to access rbd device? The function i found is g.add_drive_opts, but i dono know how it receive ceph's configuration.
I found this link
http://rwmj.wordpress.com/2013/03/12/accessing-ceph-rbd-sheepdog-etc-using-libguestfs/

Keyboard repeat error - VNC Xen virtual framebuffer
Hello Xen-Users,
I am currently provisioning old Linux guests as HVM on a server, and giving
clients access through VNC. The current setup uses the default Xen
framebuffer as a VNC server (all configuration files have vnc=1 and a few
other settings), and my clients are using vinagre (a.k.a. Remote Desktop
Viewer) on Arch as their VNC client.
Problem: Keyboard input is not consistently handled

updated some packages now some windows hang after open or close
I had a need on a centos 5.4 x86_64 box to try and run with a later totem.
I desired to do this by source.
After installing the packages below my system comes up, I thought
everything was good.
thunderbird comes up firefox comes up. totem works -------- however
there seems to be
an issue with closing or opening windows some random time later with all
three programs.

copy/paste centos 6
I had to update all these packages on CentOS 6 for a project.
Everything works great on CentOS 6 - except - Copy/Paste between
applications.
Anyone - know which application below might control that function?
Example I cannot have firefox running and copy and paste text into
thunderbird.
Both applications - actually all applications work - I just cant copy/paste.
I'm thinking I did not

r-base installation fails on Ubuntu 14.04
Synaptic can show the origin of packages.
The only thing I see from a backport is
libcmanager0
I don't think this is relevant to R. Or is it.
The only thing I've got installed from a ppa is mate (a desktop). I
don't see anything related to mate that is related to R.
FYI the ubunu I'm using came preinstalled from Dell (on a notebook;
usually I install linux myself).

r-base installation fails on Ubuntu 14.04
It's a Dell XPS 13.
Obviously I don't understand what's in libcmanager0. I wonder if I can
safely replace it. I'm a bit uneasy about replacing things Dell
installed. I gather there are some specialized drivers for the monitor
on this system.
