similar to: samba4 DC, internal winbind_server: external idmap problem

I am still trying to configure Samba to authenticate users against ActiveDirectory, but lookup uid and gids against a stand-alone OpenLDAP server. Related to a previous recommendation, I found the idmap_rfc2307 capability, which seems likely exactly what I what. Unfortunately, it does not seem to work. Users are not permitted to access shares for which they are in the group. Tests I found online

OK, I had this working a few days ago, but have evidently changed something that I cannot locate. Someone hit me with their 2x4. Hi, I did upgrade from samba 3.0.28b to 3.4.9. Now the trust does not work anymore. I have Panasonic TD1232 pbx, few cisco ata186 and linux box with asterisk. Can I dial from asterisk into ata, then indicate phone number playing tone (use DISA feature at panasonic) and connect to any analog phone connected to panasonic ? Hi, I have installed and configured Samba as PDC with Heimdal kerberos and openLDAP as backend for both on debian lenny. But i stuck on groups. I have created a file in my home directory mapped to my documents. I can change rwx permission on linux and windows and it works perfectly. but this file has as a group my default group. this file should be read by users from accounting and managers

After 'samba-tool processes' I found that the process is winbind_server. On samba wiki page, they don't recommend using domain controller as file server because winbind issues.
