matrix to a C function
Hi the list,
Is there a way to give a matrix to a C function, and then to use it as a
matrix ?
I write a function to print a matrix, but I use it as a vector :
1. void printMatrix(double *mTraj,int *nbCol, int *nbLigne){
2. int i=0,j=0;
3. for(i=0 ; i < *nbLigne ; i++){
4. for(j=0 ; j < *nbCol ; j++){
5. Rprintf(" %f",mTraj[i * *nbCol + j]);
6. }

[LLVMdev] Switching to the new MingW ABI
I think we need to relax the test cases. MSVC usually prints the calling
convention, and it's often useful information.
Maybe we can make the diagnostic text smaller by using the __thiscall,
__cdecl, __stdcall, etc keywords when printing types with
LangOpts.MicrosoftExt, but it will require moving the attribute from after
the identifier to before, which is exciting.

I was going to argue that MSVC doesn't print them, but then I tried,
and you're right - it does :)
I'll start relaxing the tests then.

LLVM Matrix Multiplication Loop Vectorizer
Hello,
i am trying to vectorize a simple matrix multiplication in llvm;
here is my code;
#include <stdio.h>
#define N 1000
// This function multiplies A[][] and B[][], and stores
// the result in C[][]
void multiply(int A[][N], int B[][N], int C[][N])
{
int i, j, k;
for (i = 0; i < N; i++)
{
for (j = 0; j < N; j++)
{
C[i][j] = 0;

How to add a new plot in the same graph using add=T at the command plot?
Hi, there!
I'm having kind this same problem
https://stat.ethz.ch/pipermail/r-help/2008-October/178221.html
but I want to display another plot of my data, which is a point with two
arrows indicating confidence interval, in the same graph that I've just
plotted another, but the "add=T" is not functioning, I'm getting the same
error

Bug#785187: [PATCH] xen: earlycpio: Pull in latest linux earlycpio.[ch]
AFAICT our current version does not correspond to any version in the
Linux history. This commit resynchronised to the state in Linux
commit 598bae70c2a8e35c8d39b610cca2b32afcf047af.
Differences from upstream: find_cpio_data is __init, printk instead of
pr_*.
This appears to fix Debian bug #785187. "Appears" because my test box
happens to be AMD and the issue is that the (valid) cpio

Does this patch fix any failures for you? It doesn't fix that test case,
unfortunately.

Problem with .C()
I've been trying to get my head around using matrices in calls to .C().
As an exercise I wrote some code to calculate the product of two
matrices.
(Well, it makes it easy to check if one is getting the right answer!)
After obtaining some advice from a Certain Very Wise Person at Oxford,
(to find out how to deal with array indexing in C functions called from
elsewhere) I wrote the following

How make a boxplot with Y axis in percentage
I have to make a boxplot with Years 2011 and 2012 on the x axis, and
percentage of full time students (=1) and part time students (=2) on the y
axis.
I would really appreciate if someone can help me to build a proper code.
Thanks

Call by reference or suggest workaround
I have written code to compute multi-indices in R [1] and due to the
recursive nature of the computation I need to pass around the *same*
matrix object (where each row corresponds to one multi-index). As pass
by reference wasn't the default behavior I declared a global matrix
(mat) and used the <<- operator to write to the global matrix. So the
usage would be to call genMultiIndices(3,2)

ogg123 -k 1:59 patch.ogg # minutes and seconds
Hi
I have helped a user with a little patch for ogg123. He uses ogg123
for very big files, often more than an hour (blind books). When he
breaks the book and later on want to go back to the same chapter, it
is a little troublesome to calculate the seconds. Minutes is much more
convenient as it is what is written on the screen.
I guess my patch is a little buggy and would like to improve it

Loop splitting as a special case of unswitch
For the example code below,
int L = M + 10;
for (k = 1 ; k <=L; k++) {
dummy();
if (k < M)
dummy2();
}
, we can split the loop into two parts like :
for (k = 1 ; k != M; k++) {
dummy();
dummy2();
}
for (; k <=L; k++) {
dummy();
}
By splitting the loop, we can remove the conditional block in the loop and indirectly increase vectorization

[LLVMdev] loop vectorizer issue
Actually what I meant in my original loop, that there is a dependency
between every two consecutive iterations. So, how the loop vectorizer says
'we can vectorize this loop'?
for(int k=20;k<50;k++)
dataY[k] = dataY[k-1];

Use postfix and spamd on CentOS 6 - looking for a shortest guide
Hello fellow CentOS-users,
on the net there are lots of Spamassassin related HOWTOs - describing how
to create a shell script for Postfix and how to install Spamassassin and
start its spamd daemon - step by step. Additionally antivirus setups are
described...
But I have a strong feeling, that this is unneeded on CentOS 6 - because
there are already preconfigured stock packages for postfix and

strings concatenation and organization (fast)
Hello,
What is the fastest way to do this? I has to be done quite a few times.
Basically I have sets of 3 numbers (as characters) and sets of 3 dashes and
I have to store them in named columns. The order of the sets and the column
name they fall under is important. The actual numbers and the pattern/order
of the sets should be considered random/unpredictable.
Sample data:
vec =
