Clang project renamed
Hi everyone, There are a number of issues with the current name of the Clang project: * It is prone to incorrect type setting, typically as CLang, CLANG, or most commonly c̦҉̫̘̺̹̖̗͒͆͋̈̃̇߯l߲҉̷̡̰̖͈̤̺͒҆̾̚͡͝a̺̹͍̔߭͠ͅn͋́͡g̱߫̉ * The C++ compiler ends in the string "g++", which causes problems for compiler wrapper scripts * The name has been used by a kickstarter project

Box.test degrees of freedom
Dear colleagues, I am new to R and statistics so please keep that in mind. I have doubts on the df calculation of Ljung-Box test (Box.test). The function seems to use always the df=lag=m and not df=m-p-q like suggested in Ljung and Box (1978) paper (that is referenced). Do you agree with this? If so, is there an R package function that computes Ljung-Box test with the degrees of

NAT traversal packet loss measurement
How can one measure the effect of NAT traversal packet loss? We currently have no solution for NAT traversal for our SIP clients. There is no doubt that packets are getting lost. What is not clear is how much damage this does. On the face of it, everything seems fine. Could this be so? Perhaps we're suffering a degradation in quality or our call setup times could be improved. How can we

gvim current directory
When I gvim a file from gnome, gvim's working directory is always my home directory. That is not what I want. It is inconvenient for :vi , :r and :w something.else . Is there a way to automatically cause gvim's current directory to be the directory of the edited file? I am aware of workarounds involving the command line. I am aware of gedit. test for multivariate normality?
My stat textbook tells me that using Shapiro-Wilk test for each variable one by one is not equal to a test for multivariate normality as a whole. Does R have a function of testing for multivariate normality? Thanks. abline in log-log power law plot
I have a power law plot in log-log scale using plot(x,y,log="xy") but I can't get the regression line to plot correctly. abline(lm(log(y)~log(x))) plots a straight line that looks promising but the intercept with the y-axis seems to be way off. summary(lm(log(y)~log(x))) gives the values but i cant really make any sense out of it. fitted(..) just confirms the values that seem to be
