6.3 missing updates and packages
Hi,
The fact that apparently the last tigervnc update from upstream was
missed triggered me to check for missing updates and packages in 6.3.
Here are my results. Sorry for any false positives that might have crept
in, but note that some of the 6_x updates actually are updates and not a
parsing error. And perhaps an occasional false positive due to having to
compare upstream SRPMS vs downstream

So, just wondering, is OpenJDK7 in CentOS 6.3??

running Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.3 to develop and test with the
latest version of open source Java. "

Hello,

I installed puppet-server, passenger and dashboard. I have tested every
step in between to make sure all is running well and not errors are
carrying forward. Dashboard worked well with my test in WEBrick.
After configure the dashboard with passenger I got the message” The

Access and group issues on domain member server (PDC is Samba as well)
Hi List,
I created a domain member server in my samba domain.
I start to realize that there are some issues when colleagues could not
access some folders in the their shares.
After searching for a solution I found that on that member server I have
no "samba" groups available.
First of all my setup:
Domain controller:
CentOS 6.2 x86_64, latest updates installed

index corruption
Hi people
Just switched to Dovecot yesterday, and I've already got about five
reports of users with duplicate mail in their inbox :-/. Not as bad
as lost email, mind you, but pretty annoying still.
Checking the server log, it says:

Configuring New Replacement Server For Samba
Hi,
I am replacing my current RHEL 6 clustered samba server with new
servers. The IP's and hostnames will be the same.
The samba version on the old config is: samba-3.5.10-115.el6_2.x86_64
The samba version on the new config is: samba-3.6.9-151.el6.x86_64
What do I need to do to copy the samba configuration to the new servers.
Will I need to do a net join again? or will it just work

Off Topic: CentOS Public mirror question
Dear All,
My apologies for asking my question on less appropriate list. I did ask it
on centos-mirror at centos.org, but that list is really low traffic (and slow
response probably - I only got acknowledgement of my post...). On the
other hand, I'm sure there are many public mirror maintainers on this list
who may help me with my trouble.

Performance of madvise / msync
Hi,
I'm using py-rrdtool 0.2.1 with rrdtool 1.3.0 under 7.0-STABLE, and
there's a couple of things about this new version of rrdtool that
hurt performance under FreeBSD, but apparently help on whatever they
tested on.
For every update, the database file is opened, mapped into memory,
madvise() is called, contents are modified, msync() is called, and
the file is unmapped and closed:
