Already did it, both plain dcdiag and dcdiag /test:DNS.
Nothing interesting in the output except for a warning at the end of
/test:dns execution (Warning: Failed to delete the test record
dcdiag-test-record in zone SAMDOM.LOCAL):

Samba DC: How to verify proper functioning
Hello
Please advise some ways to verify that my newly created samba DC
(holding no FSMO roles) is functioning properly from standpoint of
Windows Server DC and Windows clients.
So far I tried to run "dcdiag" command.
Can you please look at following command output and tell me is
everything OK there?
Is there other ways to check if DC works well?

The RPC server is unavailable on Samba 4 clients
Hi,
I used to upgrade/migrated samba 3.3.10 to samba 3.4.17 with LDAP backend
in place, while upgrading the CentOS from 5.5 to 5.9. In place to retain
the trust relationship.
The users can able to login without re-authentication from existing
machines. Tested 3 XPs, and 3 Win7 but it takes 5-8 mins to login compared
to 1 win7 that was re-connected (disconnected from domain, restart, then

DCdiag tests
Hey all,
has anyone done dcdiag against his DC yet? It's made from a windows client on command line: dcdiag /s:<servername> What are your results?
With me some of the tests were not successful, e.g. ForestDNSDomain. My dcdiag is German so its output would not be so helpful for the mailing list. So somebody else can do a check to compare?
Thanks in advance

The RPC server is unavailable
I have used the Samba4 Howto as a guide.
I am using OpenSuse 11.3 and the Samba version is:
4.0.0alpha15-GIT-61f7d7c.
Everything was working as intended after installation.
I did a fresh install on another computer of Windows 7.
Joined my freshly made domain.
Installed the remote administration tools.
Created three users for testing with the remote admin tool - "Active

s3 winbind loosing kerbers ticket
I have 2 CentOS 5.6 x86_64 servers configured with with samba 3.5.4,
CTDB, GFS and DRDB in an avtive, active cluster. After some time winbind
looses the ticket. After this I have to do a net ads join on the server
to get things going. The main DC is a windows 2003 server with SP2. I do
have 2 more samba 4 DC's that I use for backup authentication only that
run on debian 6 that are a VM. Not

ID mapping not the same between servers - smb and nfs
We mount most of our share though samba but I a server that has the home
directory mounted though nfs. The ID mappings are not the same. The
server is joined to the domain. The domain has 2 samba4 servers and one
win2k8r2 server. The 2 servers in question are CentOS 5.9 x86_64 and
samba 3.6.19 from sernet.
Any ideas?
