scrollbars and dragable
Hello, I am new at script.aculo.us and it seem''s to be a very poverfull animation framework. I need to move a div around on the screen with javascript. So far I see the solution with script.aculo.us is to use a dragable object. Now I have a problem. My div contains scrollbars with css: overflow: auto. When I use the IE6 the scrollbar hangs often :-) My div looks like this: <div

RE: Make all LI items draggable
If you want the whole list draggable as one entity, you make one draggable. If you want each item draggable on their own, you need to make each one a new draggable. -----Original Message----- From: rails-spinoffs-bounces-1W37MKcQCpIf0INCOvqR/iCwEArCW2h5@public.gmane.org [mailto:rails-spinoffs-bounces-1W37MKcQCpIf0INCOvqR/iCwEArCW2h5@public.gmane.org] On Behalf Of

Weird flicker effect in IE6 (sortables)
Hello everyone I have made some strange expirience yesterday. I have an unordered list with sortable list items (basic). Within these are various contents (forms, divs, more lists) etc.. Now on only some of them the whole page (all text) begins to flicker / redrawn in Internet Explorer 6 if i pick up a dragable and move it above its original position (like moving it above the ghost of the

effect.SlideDown question
Hello, I want to have my box that I''m sliding down hidden when I start and then slidedown to 100px. What is the best way to do this? I don''t see anything on the wiki about it. Bitmap file size problems
I am experiencing some problems with the windows graphics device and bitmaps. (Everything is done in R 2.3.1 on Windows XP) As an example, I will use windows(3,2) plot(1:10) It is not a pretty or meaningful graph, but it demonstrates the problem. savePlot(file="test",type="bmp") creates a bitmap file of size 303x207 which is somewhat strange because it seems to use slightly

Expo and Window Snapping
Not sure if this is where bugs should be reported, but here it goes. When Window Snapping is on and Expo mode is launched, dragging windows is jerky near the edges. This is especially noticeable with large windows, such as maximized Windows. There is an Expo option called "Immediate moves" that disables wobbly. If the problem is not easily fixed, perhaps "Immediate moves"

Feature request: windows snapping
There is a feature of oroborus http://www.oroborus.org/ (also used in xfwm) which might be worth importing: windows snapping. >From the xfce website (http://www.xfce.org/documentation/docs-4.2/xfwm4.html#wm_advanced): "You can choose the windows borders to be attracted by the borders of other windows, or by the screen edges, when they are moved. The distance from which this effect will

[ANNOUNCE] xprop 1.2.8
xprop is a command line tool to display and/or set window and font properties of an X server. This release contains the following change to the way icons are displayed in the terminal when COLORTERM=truecolor in the environment variables: The vast majority of monospaced fonts are roughly half as wide as they are tall; to account for this when displaying icons, `xprop` draws each

Stupid drag/drop add on
To constraint the movement to a specific area, I added the following lines in dragdrop.js This will allow you to specify: area: [2,3,100,120] to draw a rectangular area where movement is allowed... might have very strange side effects, just needed a quick/dirty hack. Plus I installed script.aculo.us just 10 minutes ago :) Don''t flame pls. Manuele line:202 (please note the ","

resolution issues
just added to the WIKI: * Ideas with some concensus after discussion on IRC, it was provisionally agreed (by those present at the time) that Theora should support arbitrary pixel sizes (presently it is limited to multiples of 16 both horizontally and vertically). It is felt that this can be achieved with minimal pain by adding four values to the page header, immediately following the present

RE: Error: "onclick() is not a function"
I see what he is saying now. When you assign a click event with the Event.observe it does not allow you to call it with the $(''xxx'').onclick(); command as it''s looking for the onclick tag in the a tag. I''m stumped on a way to get this to work. Jon Whitcraft Web Application Developer Online Services - Indianapolis Motor Speedway (317) 492-8623

Browser inconsistencies when using Effect.MoveBy()
Hi all! Brief intro: my name is Cam McVey and I'm a web developer in Glasgow, Scotland. Now to the point of my first message. I'm trying to use Effect.MoveBy() to horizontally scroll a table 'underneath' a div. The idea is that the div is a 'viewer' -- a window that the table can be seen through. The code below works great with Firefox but not in IE 6 where, after calling
