Running a script after evalScripts has completed
Hello,
(I originally posted this on the Prototype-Core group by mistake,
sorry)
I am running a request via Ajax.Updater with evalScripts = true and an
onComplete function.
I find that my onComplete function executes before the script content
has been evaluated. Looking through prototype.js (v. 1.5.1) this seems
to be caused by the scripts being executed as part of this line

using the evalScript option on Ajax.Updater
Hi all,
I''m having trouble with the evalScript option on the Ajax.Updater. I''ve
removed everything except for the ajax call and a simple alert to try
and debug it. It doesn''t appear that the regex is finding my JS in the
response...
I''m doing an update request and the response is coming back correctly to
the updateConent function as this string:

[Prototype] evalScripts not working for me
I think I am experiencing the variable scope problem with evalScripts.
I have this block of code being returned from an Ajax.Updater call,
as shown by FireBug or one of those other Firefox plugins. I have
tried to boil it down to the minimum code.
<script type="text/javascript">
test = function() { alert("test"); };

innerHTML and scripts not running
Hello,
I''m having an issue with getting embedded javascript code to actually
run when loaded via an Ajax.Request() call and the callback function
inserts the generated HTML and js code to my current page. It seems
that the javascript code is not properly parsing.
For example, I''m using the following function showinfo() to return
some html code.
function showInfo(go_url){

RE: Prototype: correct useage of onComplete withAjax.PeriodicalUpdater
>From a quick look at the source code, it looks like onComplete is only
called when the whole thing is done - in the case of Updater, right
after the update, in the case of PeriodicalUpdater, right after it has
been stopped.
It looks like you need to pass your callback method as an ''insertion''
method in the options. This takes two parameters, the first will
probably be the

PeriodicalUpdater onComplete broken?
Using the PeriodicalUpdater, I''m finding the onComplete is not firing.
I thought I''d get some feedback here before filing a bug report.

The above are examples of this for prototype 1.6.0 & 1.6.0.1.
I''m expecting the onComplete to fire after the update takes place, per

showResponse() Callback not being called in Firefox
Hello All ---
I am using the AJAX Object to send form data to a PHP page. In IE, I
am able to get a call back thru the showResponse(); However, in
Firefox, the callback never gets executed. Here is my code:
function showResponse()
{
alert(''Thank You. Your information has been sent'');
}
function processForm()
{
var url = "sendEmail.php";

Has anyone found a way to get onComplete to fire in IE? I''ve built a
bunch of functionality around Updater and this is a show-stopper for
me. I''m on the latest Scriptaculous.

js not executed after ajax.updater -- evalScript:true not a solution
Hi.
I have a <div> on a page that I replace with a new one using
Ajax.Updater. Inside this newly placed div, I am using classes and
behavior.js to launch various Ajax things and scriptaculous effects.
None of them, however, get triggered after the update. They also
fire no javascript errors or anything of the kind.
I''ve seen the option evalScripts with Ajax stuff-- but

Ajax.Request: onLoading executed after onComplete in IE
Hi,
i''m trying to use a visual indicator for my Ajax requests. It''s based on the
shopping cart demo at script.aculo.us and works great in Firefox, Konqueror
and Opera, but fails in IE6. For some reason (timing problems?) onComplete is
executed before onLoading, so the indicator is shown but not hidden when the
request has finished.
Oddly enough it works fine in the shopping

Ajax.Request synchronization (onSuccess before onComplete?)
2 questions regarding the synchronization of these events.
1) is onSuccess called before onComplete ( I assume it is)
2) if called after, is onComplete called after the onSuccess
method has completed or are you at the mercy of synchronization issues?
Hopefully someone can enlighten me. I tried reading the Prototype.js but
couldn''t seem to determine this on my own.

Ajax.Responders and onComplete
Hi all. I''m writing some kind of filter that i want passby my all AJAX request, and I stuck. I create object and pass him to Ajax Responders
like this:
var myGlobalHandlers = {
onCreate: function(){
Element.show(''loading'');
},
onComplete: function(request) {
alert(request.responseText);
}
};
