elrepo kmod-sk98lin.i686
Hi, I noticed that one of out "Centos 5" servers with an onboard "Marvell 88E8001" was showing some packet overruns. # ifconfig -a eth0 | grep "RX p" RX packets:1629537 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:3694 frame:0 So I thought about using a driver from "elrepo" the lspci id's suggest to install the "kmod-sk98lin" driver. I yum installed

sk98lin Gigabit Ethernet
Is anyone using sk98lin Gigabit Ethernet adapters under CentOS 4.x? The version of the driver that ships with CentOS 4.x kernels was too old to support the onboard NICs on some Intel server boards that we recently got, so we installed a newer driver using DKMS. However, we're having problems finding a stable driver to use: the first version that we tried (7.09) gave a kernel panic when I ran

Dlink DGE-530T on CentOS 4.7
Has anyone had any luck getting this to work? The kernel provide skge, sky2 and sk98lin modules all fail to load. I was able to download the latest version from the syskonnect.de site, and with some hacking/klduging of their install script managed to compile the module in there (a newer version of sk98lin, it seems) which recognised the card... but this isn't really sustainable 'cos new

Help: Marvell sk98lin driver missing from Centos 3 PXE initrd.img
I'm new to the lists so sorry about any faux pas I may have made. Also I apologize for the length, but I wanted to be sure I covered most of the details. I'm trying to do a PXE install on an Intel 1435VP2 server machine. The PXE install has worked on all the older machines in the cluster, so I know PXE is working. However, these new Intel server machines only support PXE booting from

NIC detection by anaconda
Hello all, I'm not able to install CentOS in a motherboard with a onboard 3Com gigabit nic (3c904/Syskonnect). Although there's a device driver for the Syskonnect (sk98lin) in the linux kernel, the installation program is asking for this interface module. I tried to create a device disk, but without success. Maybe I'm missing some information about the modules detection by the

hosts fail to negotiate 1000Mbps speed
I am trying to connect two workstations (CentOS 3&4) directly using a straight through cat 5e cable with a crossover adapter on one of the ends. Both hosts have gigabit-capable ethernet card. According to lspci host 1 has: 03:0e.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82545EM Gigabit Ethernet Controller (Copper) (rev 01) and host 2 has: 05:00.0 Ethernet controller: Marvell Technology Group

The semaphore timeout period has expired
Hello Hamish. I found your message just googling for Suse and sk98lin. Did you solve your problem? I had the same case and only way to restore was to change NIS driver speed settings from AUTO to 10Mb. And it was not related to OS as the same problem is in WXP ( I have dual boot, ASUS P4P800, integrated GB NIS ). Oleg.

Dom0 eth0 has different MAC address than expected, ignoring
Hi, I''m a newbie to Xen and I need some help. I saw user ''datto'' had a similar problem but changed to FC4 to resolve it. I''m currently running FC3 and Xen2.0.7. I did the usual ''make install'' and I can boot into Xen dom0. However, my network card is not working. The driver is found in the linux-2.6.11.12-xen0 tree but not selected. I

3.1 on ASUS SK8V SATA problem
This is my first post to this mailing list, although I have been reading it for a while. Please forgive the length of my message. Also, great work! I'm trying to get Centos-3 running on an ASUS SK8V Opteron motherboard in a way that is useful for me. I've had some success, but now I'm stuck on a problem with the SATA driver. Okay, so I got it up on the network by replacing sk98lin

5.2 driver for Marvell Yukon 88E8042 PCI-E Fast Ethernet controller
Hello, I'm trying to install CentOS 5.2 on an HP 6730s notebook. All's going well except for one little item -- the networking. Never thought I'd have trouble with an Ethernet adapter, so I didn't even check before buying this machine; it was cheap. The adapter is a Marvell Yukon 88E8042 PCI-E Fast Ethernet controller. I can't find a Linux driver for it except one that
