I have many different centos machines that are hanging regulary. I believe this is due to something our application is doing - not a centos specific problem. When the machines hang, there is no access to the console or remote access(ssh, rsh, etc). Any tips on debugging this issue? Given that I have a machine with possibly multiple disks, each of which is bootable(has an MBR).... Is there a command that will query the BIOS and tell me which disk is the default boot disk. I've create a script and associated links(via chkconfig). The script runs in the expected runlevels at boot time, but does not run at all during shutdown(halt, reboot, etc).
