I have a 12GB 64-bit Linux HVM guest (CentOS 5.5). When I look at the e820 map in the guest, I see the following: BIOS-provided physical RAM map: BIOS-e820: 0000000000010000 - 000000000009e000 (usable) BIOS-e820: 000000000009e000 - 00000000000a0000 (reserved) BIOS-e820: 00000000000e0000 - 0000000000100000 (reserved) BIOS-e820: 0000000000100000 - 00000000f0000000 (usable) BIOS-e820:

[PATCH 0 of 4 v3] Add commands to automatically prep devices for pass-through
Add commands to automatically prep devices for pass-through The current method for passing through devices requires users to either modify cryptic Linux boot parameters and reboot, or do a lot of manual reads and writes into sysfs nodes. This set of patches introduces commands to make this easier. It expands on the concept of "assignable" (from the list_assignable_devices command).

wxsugar question
I''ve only had the briefest play with wxSugar and already I like it a lot. One small question - have you considered some more ''convention over configuration'' like they do in rails, in particular for event connectors? So instead of listen(:button, my_button, my_button_pressed) you can leave it out entirely and rely on the convention that a button has a _pressed

Asterisk crashing with no indication why.
I'm hoping someone might have seen this before because I'm just about at a loss of what to do. I have an asterisk system setup in a call center environment with multiple queues. After a random uptime asterisk will suddenly come to a partial halt where I can connect to the cli but issuing a command such as show channels gives no response, and calls cannot be made in or out. Calls in

[PATCH] x86/mm: fix invalid unlinking of nested p2m tables
Commit 90805dc (c/s 26387:4056e5a3d815) ("EPT: Make ept data stucture or operations neutral") makes nested p2m tables be unlinked from the host p2m table before their destruction (in p2m_teardown_nestedp2m). However, by this time the host p2m table has already been torn down, leading to a possible race condition where another allocation between the two kinds of table being torn down can

libxl: setmaxmem functionality?
Hi, the function libxl_domain_setmaxmem in libxl.c doesn''t seem to do anything besides argument checking, or am I overlooking something? Cheers, Markus _______________________________________________ Xen-devel mailing list Xen-devel@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-devel

Bug: Limitation of <=2GB RAM in domU persists with 4.3.0
I just built 4.3.0 in order to get > 2GB of RAM in domU with GPU passthrough without crashes. Unfortunately, the same crashes still happen. Massive frame buffer corruption on domU before it locks up solid. It seems the PCI memory stomp is still happening. I am using qemu-dm, as I did on Xen 4.2.x. So whatever fix for this went into 4.3.0 didn''t fix it for me. Passing less than 2GB

[PATCH] RFC xen: suppress Coverity warnings about atomic_read and atomic_set.
Coverity generates false positives when read_atomic() and write_atomic() are called with pointers to objects smaller than 64 bits (because it can''t see that the 64-bit access in the switych statement is dead code). I don''t want to automatically suppress all ofthose, because read_atomic() and write_atomic() could still be called with mis-cast pointers, but for atomic_t accessors

Coverity + XenProject + Process?
Hey We have a static analyzer setup for Xen called Coverity. It allows the code to be inspected for bugs and such. Originally I setup this so that we could make sure that there are no bugs that cause security issues - and as such invited only folks on the security Xen mailing list. But there are other folks who I am sure would like to contribute and as Coverity is pretty amazing at analyzing

[PATCH 00 of 16] libxl: autogenerate type definitions and destructor functions
The series introduces auto-generation of the type definitions used in the libxl interface followed by auto-generation of a destructor function for each type. In the future it may be possible to use the related data structures for other purposes, for example auto-generation of the functions to marshal between C and language binding data types. tools/_libxl_types.h should be identical both before

[PATCH 1/3] libxenlight: Clean up logging arrangements
* Introduce new variants of the logging functions which include errno values (converted using strerror) in the messages passed to the application''s logging callback. * Use the new errno-including logging functions everywhere where appropriate. In general, xc_... functions return errno values or 0; xs_... functions return 0 or -1 (or some such) setting errno. * When
