How to render from with <%%> ?
I have a loop that I iterate through in my view.
<%
coll.each do |itm|
puts(itm.value)
end
%>
How do I render the itm.value without using a <%= %> tag? Should puts
not work?
Joerg
P.S. There is a good enough reason for me wanting to do this :-)

sending fax with chan-capi
Hi!
Has someone ever used the sendfax option of new chan-capi to send fax? I
need some help regarding the sff format:
How can I generate sff format? I found sfftobmp, not nothing the other
way round.
Is there a nice way to get the sff out of an Windows application (like
virtual printers for hylafax) or at least some scripts which produce the
sff and the asterisk call file out of an pdf?

Survival Regression with multiple events per subject
Dear R users!
I want to process a maximum likelihood estimation for a parametric
regression survival time model with multiple events per subject.
the STATA command for this survival regression is:
use survreg

local regressors itm posret negret
streg `regressors', distribution(weibull)
explanation:
stset declares data to be survival-time data;

libata and PMP (Port Multiplier) support in CentOS
I'm looking at buying a NORCO DS-1220 and it comes with a NORCO 4618
PCI-X card (4 port eSATA, with a port multiplier on the card or the
chassis). I've been trying to pin down whether or not CentOS will see
all 12 drives, and I haven't seen anything that is definitive. I see
that the kernel module sata_sil24 supports the SiI3124 chip on the NORCO
4618 card, but I haven't found

[RFC] net/sched/em_canid: Ematch rule to match CAN frames according to their CAN IDs
em_canid is an ematch capable of classifying CAN frames according to
their CAN IDs.
This RFC/Patch contains a reworked classifier initially posted in
http://www.spinics.net/lists/netdev/msg200114.html
The functionality is the same however there is almost 50% reduction
in the source code length.
There is a slight difference between this ematch and other available
ematches. Other ematches

trying to buy an Intel MLC SSD
The 80Gb Intel MLC SSDs have been hard to find in-stock and prices
keep varying .... The original list price on the x25m 80Gb MLC drive
was $230 - and it was *supposed* to be available for less than that.
Demand has been high and a lot of on-line sellers have taken advantage
of the demand to keep prices high. In particular, newegg.com, who
usually have very keen pricing, has been selling the

low end file server with h/w RAID - recommendations
>Most servers can fit only 2.5" disks these days. I keep wondering what everyone is doing about storage.
The DL20 gen9 I bought was setup LFF (3.5")
The DL380 gen9 could be either SFF (2.5) or LFF. I had to buy SFF for our new server due I was told to spec / build it exact to vendor recommendation.
To better? Answer this. Agreed, I'm not a fanboy of 2.5" stuff in

A Probably Bug of TWO_PATH Implementation in Speex1.2rc1 AEC
I have been working on a project importing Speex to a embedded platform for
a while.
When I tried to shut down the macro TWO_PATH in Speex AEC to save space,
an error occurred. Dbf is undefined.
The 1.2rc1 code is like this
Dbf = 0;
See = 0;
#ifdef TWO_PATH
/* Difference in response, this is used to estimate the variance of our
residual power estimate */

If yes, what was your experience with those ?
I'm looking at this:

4 monitors with one graphics card and standard driver
I've just test an ATI FirePro 2460 graphics card on CentOS 6.4. It
connects 4 monitors.
It worked with the standard radeon driver. I was able to arrange the
monitors into my
preferred configuration (as a square array, 1 upper left, 2 lower left, 3
lower right, 4
upper right) simply by clicking System -> Preferences -> Display, and then
moving the
four monitor images. This creates the
