CentOS 7, 327 kernel still crashing
I've just added the following to the CentOS bugtracker for CentOS-7
0009860. I admit to not being sure if it's the same issue, or a separate
one, but this and other Dell servers - I *think* they're all R420's, but I
could be wrong, just all do the same thing on boot.

centos 7.1 and compiz
I have compiz installed on centos 6.6, and I?ve been testing 7.1, but I can't find any info on installing compiz on 7.1. Is there any info for this or is it not supported yet?

why I use chrome on CentOS
I use chrome on CentOS because I wrote a web socket web app and I can only get chrome to work properly with web sockets.
I have a local web app created with erlang. It works like ms sccm to wake, freeze/thaw deepfreeze PCs and can update windows/mac/linux boxes when they need updates for some student computers labs and department/college class rooms.
Thanks for your understanding for my need

CentOS 6 and Intel vPro?
Needed to set up a cluster where horsepower and cost were paramount, so
I thought this would be a good opportunity to try out Intel's business
class "vPro AMT" remote administration technology, and compare it to
IPMI, which I've used for years on servers. From a feature standpoint,
it seems quite impressive, going to far as using standards-based VNC!
Unfortunately, set up is

CentOS 7 in VirtualBox
I installed CentOS 7 in VirtualBox in OS X Yosemite, but the NIC is not getting an IP address. So I thought it was a problem with the thunderbolt adapter. ?I then installed CentOS 7 in VirtualBox on a box with CentOS 6.5. ?The network doesn't work in the VM either. ?Anyone tried CentOS 7 in VirtualBox (latest version) and have the network working?

MapPoint 2004 and Swing App
Hello,
I am new to Wine.
I have a swing app that requires the use of mappoint. Currently it runs on a windows box.
The new box the app will be running on will be XBuntu.
Using Wine I can install MapPoint, however on windows I will using Java2COM from Neva Objects which allowed the swing app to talk to mappoint. How would this be possible if I switched to XBuntu?
Any idea?
Cheers

zimbra test
I wanted to test zimbra on centos 6 (I'm new to centos). While installing
zimbra it said there was a conflict on port 25. So I found out that
postfix is the default mta on centos. I then did sudo yum remove postfix
and followed the prompts for removing it, but in doing so it removed chrome
that I had installed and several other packages that seem to be important.
Some of these were cron,

latest yum update messed up chrome
I yum updated yesterday and it updated chrome from 44.x to 45.x.
It runs but it has errors going to web pages and won't load its own settings/extension pages either. I ran chrome from the command-line and see these errors:
$ google-chrome
libGL error: dlopen /usr/lib/dri/swrast_dri.so failed (/usr/lib/dri/swrast_dri.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory)
