Hi All, I am working on a page that has 4 configuration sections at the bottom of the page with 4 links to them higher up on the page. We are using the Effects.BlindDown to show the lower section when the corresponding link is clicked. We also use the "new Effects.ScrollTo(''DIVTag'')" to have the page scroll to the newly opened section. Now this works fine in

RE: Element.scrollTo duration isn''t working
I thought the duration parameter was only used with Effect functions, but I could be wrong. built-in dropdown jumps?
Hey everybody! I was just wondering if Rails'' javascript library includes something as simple as making a dropdown that jumps to the link when selected without needing a "submit" button. I see a bunch of AJAX effects and draggable-element stuff, but all i need is a simple dropdown... should I code it myself? -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

scrolling in a <select multiple="multiple"> list
I have a <select multiple="multiple"> list with a fixed height. It contains several <option> elements that extend well past the viewable area. I added code that would track which options had been previously selected so that users could select multiple items without holding the ctrl key. I''m storing the previous selections in an array whose index corresponds with

Scrolling Tables/Divs?
Is anyone working on a scrolling table or div such as the openrico livegrid demo? I''m looking to develop (much like smashbox''s scrolling images) a collection of thumbnails that you can scroll horizontally. I''ve got a non-prototype.js example but I wanted to check to see if anyone was closer than I to this. BTW, I will be finishing up my slider code shortly and

Drag & Scroll
When using drag and drop, the browser window will not scroll if you move the mouse off the page. This makes it very difficult, if not impossible to create certain types of web applications. I know this has been mentioned before and is on the Wish List, but it''s very frustrating. If you look at this other Javascript library called "Drag''nDrop & DHTML Library"

[scriptaculous] scroll down to show full auto completion list (w/ possible patch)
Hi everyone, lately I''ve implemented an auto completion textfield at the bottom of a form. I was a bit bothered by the fact that the user would potentially need to scroll down in order to see all the options offered by the auto completion. I couldn''t find any information on how to auto scroll to the auto completion list with bulit-in functionality so I modified controls.js

Ajax.Responders.register: onFailure not working
Hello together. I''ve tried to register an onFailure behavior for all my Ajax.Requests and .Updaters to handle a session-based timout system. On each server request via Ajax there is a check whether the user hasn''t made something for the last x minutes, and if he hasn''t, the php page throws an 403 forbidden header (via header("HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden")). FIX YOUR AUTO-RESPONDERS!!!
PLEASE CONFIGURE YOUR AUTORESPONSERS TO NOT SEND MESSAGES TO PEOPLE WHO POST IN MAILING LISTS YOU SUBSCRIBE TO. build problems, part III, and runtime problems, part I
After decoding the unresolved symbols from wxruby2.so using c++filt, and comparing with the symbols provided by wxGTK, it became clear that wxGTK was using wchar_t whereas wxruby2.so was using char. So I rebuilt wxGTK, turning off unicode. That worked. No more unresolved symbols. What gives? Should the wxruby code have been built using wchar_t, and if so, how? However, now I get the

Upgrade server to run on Rails 2.3.2/F11
Note that one of the 8 patches (#6) will be sent separately in reply to this email, as some of the replaced lines are too long, so git won't let me send the email. However, there is nothing wrong with that patch, and it should be applied in the sequence listed below. Note also that I assume this will be tested on a clean f11 install, rather than an upgrade of an existing ovirt server
