Dovecot/Sieve shortcuts?
Thanks! This is super-interesting.
As I try to set up include, I get failures which may indicate a need
for more coffee, but in /etc/dovecot/cond.f/90-sieve.conf I have:
plugin {
# Directory for :personal include scripts. The default is to use
home directory.
sieve_dir = %h/.sieve
# Directory for :global include scripts (not to be confused with
sieve_global_path).

Dovecot/Sieve shortcuts?
Hi,
Is there a clean way to match on an email address the way procmail
^TO_ did? that was a macro which expanded to
(^((Original-)?(Resent-)?(To|Cc|Bcc)|(X-Envelope |Apparently(-Resent)?)-To):(.*[^-a-zA-Z0-9_.])?)
so you could write
* ^TO_dovecot
dovecot
and grab messages to the list. In sieve, I find myseld writing
["To","cc"] and wonder if there's a better way.

Remove "Duplicate" emails
In a quest to remove ?duplicate? messages sent to both me and lists I subscribe to I came up with this, which I think should clean out my Archive folder, but I?ve been unable to get it to work for scanning all on my list-user email.
$ doveadm -f table fetch -u kremels 'hdr.message-id guid uid hdr.x-listname' mailbox "Archive" | sort| awk 'cnt[$1]++{if (cnt[$1]==2) print

Creating ToDo List App
Hi,
New Rails user here trying to create a basic todolist app in rails 3.2.6
and running into some foreign key issues. Here''s what I did...
I generated scaffolds
list title:string & task description:text listname:string
Next, in order to link the listname for Tasks and the list titles in the
Lists I generated a migration file which looks like this

Subsetting a matrix
I'd welcome some comments or advice regarding the situation described
below.
The following illustrates what seems to me to be an inconsistency
in the behaviour of matrix subsetting:

> Z

[2,] 2.1 2.2 2.3

using innov in arima.sim
Hello,
I have used the arima.sim function to generate a lot of time series, but to day I got som results that I didn't quite understand. Generating two time series z0 and z1 as
eps <- rnorm(n, sd=0.03)
z0 <- arima.sim(list(ar=c(0.9)), n=n, innov=eps)
and
z1 <- arima.sim(list(ar=c(0.9)), n=n, sd=0.03),
I would expect z0 and z1 to be qualitatively similar. However, with n=10 the

When adding a record in console, a parameter comes in as null even when I set it
In console, I am trying to create a User but the :account_id does not come
in. Console just gives me back :account_id => nil. Obviously I''m trying to
set it though. Silly console...
But, I can set the account_id column in my controller like so:
@user = User.new(params[:user])
@user.account_id = account.id
@user.save
Here''s what I give to the controller:
User.create :name

Trouble passing arrays to C code
Hello,
I'm having more trouble with interfacing with C code. I have a
function in C that will return the result of its computation as 3
arrays. The signature of the function is as follows:
void lorenz_run(double x0, double y0, double z0, double h, int steps,
double *res_x, double *res_y, double *res_z)
The function works, as I've tested it from within C itself and the
results

ctags support for puppet
This is a quick and dirty .ctags file that makes basic navigation
possible with vim and ctags, great if you have multiple files:

Sieve, multiple addresses, and variables
Hi,
I have another sieve question, this time about setting variables.
I join a lot of mailing lists at ietf.org. I thought it'd be handy to
filter these all into a common folder and then into individual
folders, without having to configure each mailing list independently.
So wrote this (this is just a part, obviously):
require ["envelope", "variables",

how to fit gauss beam?
Hello,
I am having a hard time fitting a gauss beam using R. In
gnutplot I did something like
$ w(z) = w0 * sqrt(1+(z/z0)**2)
$ fit w(z) 'before_eom.txt' using 1:2 via w0, z0
to obtain w0 and z0. Now I want to do the same in R. I tried
a linear model like this (r = radius, z = distance):
beam <- function(z) {
sum(sqrt(1 + z**2))
}
lm(r ~ I(beam(z)), data = before_eom)
Which

Syncpeople Plugin Scope Never Active
I installed the Syncpeople textmate bundle (
http://syncpeople.com/downloads/syncpeople_on_rails_features ) and the
commands all work from the menu, but the short-cuts never work for any
of the snippets or commands ever work, because the scopes are not
being selected properly. If I change the scope to just "source.ruby"
it will work fine. But I cannot see why their scope selectors do not

[LLVMdev] [IMPORTANT] Mailing list Move & Downtime (Tuesday, August 4th)
On August 4th (~9AM PDT, exact time TBD), all LLVM related mailing lists will move to a new mailing list server and will change to listname at lists.llvm.org. LLVMDev will probably change to LLVM-Dev to preserve consistency.
This means a couple of things:
1) All mailing lists will be down on August 4th. We anticipated at least the full day of downtime (hopefully less if things go well).
2) SVN

Small regular expression question
I''m looking to write a regular expression that will match valid URLs.
My problem is that it almost works, except it accepts URLs with / in the
middle of them, suchs as:
http://www.ruby/rails.com
It looks (to me) like my regular expression should not match strings
like that, but it does. Here is the regular expression:
