[PATCH server] updated anyterm/ovirt integration
host static anyterm content locally,
url parameterize anyterm rows/cols/general param
update spec/makefile
Ideally I wanted and tried hard to put all this into a
seperate ovirt-server--anyterm subpackage, but we cannot
'reopen' the ovirt server virtual host defined in
ovirt-server.conf to add the neccessary rewrite rules. it would
be nice to figure out a way to do this

Starting an exe from within the browser
All,
I''m writing a Rails based app. I''m still on Rails version 1.2.2. I
need to start an external app from within the browser, only IE and
pass an argument to it. The only way I found was using ActiveX.
<script language="javascript" type="text/javascript">
function OpenFile(cmd){
var x = new ActiveXObject("WScript.Shell");

XML Request in R: Pointers/examples needed
Hello R-helpers,
I'm new to XML. I have been using an application for some time, but now I
wish to automate my downloads with R. When I use the web interface of their
XML application, I'm able to read the response in R with the XML package.
My problem now is to send the requests directly from R. Here below are two
XML request scripts that come from the applicaton help file. My

unicorn 0.9.0 (experimental release)
Unicorn is a Rack HTTP server for Unix, fast clients and nothing else[1]
We now have support for "Transfer-Encoding: chunked" bodies in
requests. Not only that, Rack applications reading input bodies
get that data streamed off to the client socket on an as-needed
basis. This allows the application to do things like upload
progress notification and even tunneling of arbitrary stream

Socket read returned insufficient data
In the several months I''ve been using Mongrel, I''ve experienced two
crashes. Both were immediately following a "Socket read returned
insufficient data" error from HTTPRequest. Both times, the mongrel
process would hang indefinitely (and not respond to requests) untill
manually killed.
The first instance references a line where I was using

Tutorial about XMLHttpRequest+Rails

I just finished writing up a tutorial relating my experience
developing a system to edit line-items ''in-line'' in my Rails
application using XMLHttpRequest. I thought this might be of interest
to some readers of this list... Check it out at

assistance needed - err: Could not retrieve catalog from remote server: execution expired
Hi,
I have a puppet infrastructure running 2.6.14 under Passenger with about 30
nodes. I''m just spinning up a new Cent 6.3, puppet 2.7.19 master. Right now
I have the master built and configured using the same configuration as my
2.6.14 setup, with a few tweaks for the new version. Puppet on the master
built itself fine. I have puppetd stopped on the master. I tried pointing

prototype ajax + xml response
Hi,
I am looking for a solution to use ajax.request object.
Return response text will be in xml format and I like to know how to
parse that xml information, so that I can put those info into the "span"
or "div" tags of my html page. Is there any easy way to parse that xml
info using prototype library?
Thanks,
kevin.

clients hang on large PUTs to Mongrel::HttpHandler-based web service
Hi folks,
I have a problem with a storage web service our group wrote using
Mongrel::HttpHandler We have a consistent problem when using
http PUT to this service when the data is larger than about 4 GB.
The web service actually retrieves and processes the data, but the
clients hang - the TCP connection is still in the ESTABLISHED
state on the client side, but the TCP session no longer exists on

ajax effects
Hi,
i was wondering if there was some kind of general line of code i could
add to my application, anywhere i suppose, that would generate some kind
of effect to notify the user that an effect is happening...it could be a
box on the top of the screen or something, that would be like the small
bar at the end of the browser that shows the user the status of a
loading page ... i was hoping

robots.txt
Hi all,
I have again noticed that the wiki does not really show up in search
results and wonder if it has any impact that robots.txt on
wiki.centos.org is empty.
Perhaps it should at least contain User-agent: * ?
Best Regards

Limit Request Body Size (Disallow very large File-uploads)
Hello all,
For the last couple of days I was trying to get my
Apache/mod_proxy/mongrel setup to limit the size of the request body.
The setup is as follows:
1.) Apache acts as a reverse proxy by facilitating mod_rewrite and mod_proxy
2.) Requests for non-static files are passed on to a mongrel_cluster
3.) We use mongrel for our Ruby on Rails application
Note that due to some restrictions we are

MGeoRSS and IE
Hi,
Not sure where else to post this since MGeoRSS doesn''t seem to have its own
list.
I''m using MGeoRSS (http://brainoff.com/gmaps/mgeorss.html) because Google''s
GeoRSS API
(http://googlemapsapi.blogspot.com/2007/03/kml-and-georss-support-added-to-google.html)
doesn''t support local GeoRSS servers (yet - see
