mail_location in LDAP and variables
Hi,
Is it posible to use variables in mail_location when taken from ldap? How?
I've tried
mdbox:/buzones2/'%n'/mdbox
mdbox:/buzones2/"%n"/mdbox
mdbox:/buzones2/%n/mdbox
but %n is never replaced by its value.
Thanks!

Strange problem with rsync and expect
Version: 3.0.6OS: CentOS 6.6
I met a strange problem when using rsync with expect. I wrote a script backing up using rsync and expect. However when I run the script twice for two different files at same time, the two files on destination path would be deleted automatically before the files closed. The output of inotify_wait was like:
./ MODIFY .redo02.log.dOlbek
./ DELETE .redo02.log.dOlbek

Patches for samba 3.0.0 client/client.c
Patch against samba 3.0.0 client/client.c
Mainly for -L parameter options
1.) Add a configurable connection delay. The default is too long.
Add items to long_options of poptOption for help message, however I
just put something "i.e. CONNSETUP" to the last parameter of
long_options. It seems for use of documentation ????

PATCH: Wins support in smbclient
I added WINS support to smbclient. The patch is against 1.9.17p1. To apply
it, go to the source dir, and type "patch < client.diff".
Btw, if there is anything wrong with the patch format, please tell me
since this is my first patch.

[PATCH] `smbclient -M' ignores `-p port'
Peter:
Thanks! It now works fine on Solaris 2.6. Now I just need to remember how
to manipulate source RPMs so I can fix the Linux (RedHat 6.x) version. :-)

doveadm director status username != doveadm director status username@mailserver
Hi,
I've almost finished my new director based setup, but in the first test
I discovered that imap and lmtp connections were not always being
proxied to the same server. After some research now I think that the
main problem is that in imap connections users connect as 'username'
while lmtp connections are as 'username at mailserver'.
In my current setup I receive mail via

"smbclient -p <port>" appears to be broken in Samba 2.x
I posted this problem as a question to this list a while ago and got no
reply. I submitted it as a bug, but found that "samba-bugs@samba.org",
no longer accepts bug reports, even though the web page says to send them
to that address.
Wondering if the option had been intentionally discontinuted without
updating the man page, I made a quick check of the source and found that

Rails without a primary key
I''ve been trying to use Rails on a database where the biggest
datawarehouse-style table doesn''t have a primary key. It really
doesn''t make sense and just adds extra unnecessary space. I do have,
however, a column that I normally use to search on (IP) that returns
many rows. The table also references several other tables through
rails-friendly foreign keys.

I have encountered this problem too. Did you ever solve it?

Reappearing emails
The dovecot version (2.2.10) we were running had a timing window problem
in the context of replication (we use maildir on CentOS 7). After doing
elaborate tests to isolate the problem, we wound up upgrading to
2.2.23. That fixed it, and that version has been very reliable.

Reappearing emails
We have been running Dovecot 2.2.10 with a pair of CentOS 7 boxes with
replications for the past year. We have been quite happy with the
performance and reliability. Recently we received a report from an
Android IMAP user that emails that he deleted without reading would
often reappear in his INBOX. At first I thought it might be some quirky
incompatibility with his email client, but I

Roaming profiles and delete files reappearing.
Hello.
I see a lot of people having this problem, but found not solution so far.
The setup: samba 3.0.37 on FreeBSD 7.3/i386 acting as PDC; a similar BDC
(only amd64) and XP clients.
Users have roaming profiles on the PDC.
What happens is:
_ a laptop user disconnects from the network (so the local and server
profiles are fully synchronized);
_ at home [s]he deletes some files;
_ back in the

Deleted mail reappearing
Recently I upgraded dovecot quite a few major versions. Since then some mailboxes are experiencing deleted mail reappearing. It seems to be happening roughly once a day, but not for every mail client or mailbox, I have at least two clients with this issue: Thunderbird and Outlook.
Storage is local under two partitions, one as alternative storage.
