Re-orderable column DataGrid + Patches for Sortable.delay and Sortable.ignorePositionXY
I would love to get some feedback and test a patch to rev. 4380. First, the money shot - check out this demo of a scriptaculous DataGrid: http://development.finetooth.com/?p=13 I''m using the <tr> as a sortable with the <th>''s as the sortable elements. The Patch file: http://www.commoner.com/~lsimon/scriptaculous/delay_and_ignorePosition_forSortables.diff The patch

Droppables.remove and IE - bug?
http://www.commoner.com/~lsimon/scriptaculous/test/functional/dragdrop7_test.html In IE, if you click on the "Reload cart droppable via ajax", and then try to move the draggable, it goes kablaam. Notice too that if you reload and try to click Remove Droppable that the # of droppables stays at 1 or whatever, instead of going back to 0. The DOM comparison in Droppables.remove

Sortable - can we make one or more elements in a list sticky?
In a sortable list, is there a way to say, pass a className whereby some of the elements in the sortable element would not become draggables/droppables? If not, it seems like it could be implemented similarly to the handle option.. Any interest? Also - I submitted a patch that adds the option "delay" so that draggables in a Sortable won''t truly become activated until after the

DataGrid (Table) using tables/Scriptaculous Sortable
Hey yall, I wanted to share some code I''ve been working on as it seems up the alley of folks on this list. It''s not rails, per se, but one day... DataGrid: http://development.finetooth.com/?p=6 This also showcases the option.delay perameter I''ve submitted into scriptaculous - hold down your mouse for one second on any column other than Vendor and then drag away ;) The

AJAX data grid for Rails?
Has anyone used an AJAX data grid with Rails? I am rebuilding a copy of the venture source web site as a first ruby/ rails exercise. If anyone has used a javascript data grid with Rails, I would appreciate sample code, or notes on your experience. The controller action would presumably communicate with the data grid component running on the browser by extracting data from a relational

Why such bad performance with IE ?
Regarding DragDrop I am wondering what the deal about Internet Explorer 6 is. My application is near to final and now while testing browsers all but the IE6 are running as supposed to. Any other browser is performing smooth movement while IE compared provides a very bad expirience. I''ve seen some "tuning" infos on this list but they are either outdated or not actually working

Variable substitution - How can I do Dial(${DIALSTRING}) where ${DIALSTRING} is 'SIP/201, 15, tT'?
I've been banging my head against a brick wall for the last hour and I'm sure this is one of those easy to solve things - just that I can't see the wood for the trees. I'm trying to do: ----------- [some-context] Exten => s,1,Macro(dodial,'SIP/201,15,tT',123456,MOHClass) [macro-dodial] Exten => s,1,SetCallerID(${ARG2}) Exten => s,2,SetMusicOnHold(${ARG3}) Exten

Observing radio buttons
I''m having some problems with observe_field on some radio buttons. seems to be calling my action on change rather than on click (i.e. when i click on one button the previously selected button''s action gets called without a value, then the newly clicked button''s action gets called with it value) I tried the :on => ''click'' option to no avail. Java app not observing ACLs
Hello, I have inherited a Java app, available as a jar, which has been moved from an HPUX server as is. [This app simply downloads a data file from an ftp server, processes its data and creates graph files.] It works fine on a CentOS 5 x86_64 machine with: jre-7u9-linux-x64.rpm but I've noticed it does not respect Linux ACLs. When run by a user who has access to a directory (where the

Observing nasty crashes
Hi, This weekend I changed to faster machines, some very old Ethernet card and re-tried Tinc... I stumbled into some nasty bugs. Packets that are held in the receive queue become corrupted. I observed lengths (ie, the len field in the packet structure) that are ok when add_queue() inserts them in the queue, and way to large lengths or even negative when the queues get flushed. Wanna reproduce

Observing changes to a text field
I''ve noticed that using several TimedObservers (prototype.js) on a page to watch for changes to text fields (haven''t tried forms) can have a non-negligible effect on the CPU cycles used by the browser process. Nothing dramatic, to be sure, but unnecessary. Autocompleter.Base (controls.js) follows a smarter strategy to watch for changes. Currently this functionality is tied
