C7 bind-sdb
This seems to be just a stub with 3 READMEs? # locate bind-sdb /usr/share/doc/bind-sdb-9.9.4 /usr/share/doc/bind-sdb-9.9.4/INSTALL.ldap /usr/share/doc/bind-sdb-9.9.4/README.ldap /usr/share/doc/bind-sdb-9.9.4/README.sdb_pgsql Unless it is putting files elsewhere. These readmes are dated long ago. What is really needed and where is any good documentation for using this? thanks

Unable to specify hierarchy for data-in-modules
Hello, I''m running Puppet agent stand-alone on Windows. I got data-in-modules working. However, no matter what I put into the module hiera.yaml, I can only override the defaults from common.yaml by osfamily (and not, e.g., by environment). In the setup below the following command outputs: >puppet apply --binder -e "notice lookup (''my_key'')"

Providing hiera with module data
Hi guys, I don''t know how to solve this: I want ".yaml"-files in each module''s "/data"-directory. These .yaml-files should contain data, which Hiera sould pass to the module''s manifests. How can I do that? I''m using Puppet 3.3.1 Thanks in advance! -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Puppet

problem with X11 forwarding and use_localhost on Linux (solution)
On Linux (and others that define DONT_TRY_OTHER_AF) x11_create_display_inet() will only use the first entry returned by getaddrinfo(). When binding sockets to "ANY" this is fine on Linux since a PF_INET6 socket bound to ANY will also include IPv4. However when x11_use_localhost (X11UseLocalhost) is set, this is a problem. getaddrinfo() will then return an AF_INET6 entry with IPv6 address

DNS Server and SQL backend
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I think most people here use BIND as their DNS server of choise. I just happen to have updated DLZ patch for the current bind version. DLZ patch allows you to use mysql (pgsql, ldap etc) as a backend for zone storage. I make no garantees, of course, but if anyone is interested on the patch (with or without the specfile for rpm building), please let

AW: debian Lenny -> Squeeze domU mdX software raidmigration - failed to assemble arrays
Hi, to make transitions more convenient, I've done this by using uuid instead of device names. If you ls -l /dev/disk/by-uuid inside your domU, you'll see something like lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 5. Mai 07:38 39a2a64b-0716-47ad-92f4-a7437cac54ee -> ../../sda2 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 5. Mai 07:38 e8b97b59-a790-417c-8231-fe8da8b6e6ee -> ../../sda1 In /etc/fstab inside the domU,

converting old uucp buffer files to maildir
Hi *, besides my dovecot maildir structure, that has been migrated from an Exchange server, I have an even older mail structure in an ancient uucp style. The program named CrossPoint I used for this isn't wideley known, but it used so called mpuffer files in a plain text format. It is the program I still use to write for example this mail. I wonder if there already exists a program or script

Error accessing [homes] after 3.0.25b update (uppercase)
OS is smeserver, based on CentOS/RHEL 4. After update to samba 3.0.25b (included in RHEL U6) users who had "mapped" their home in Network places were unable to access the share. All other shares worked. On every attempt a line similar to the following was logged: Feb 14 10:11:49 nethservice smbd[6258]: '/home/e-smith/files/users/FRANCESCA/home' does not exist or permission
