Samba 3.5.7-3.5.1-2573 not able to shutdown old processes which results in locked files
Dear Samba users,
Samba tries to close old connections on a new session setup from the same machine, but fails. Those connections result in locked files which the users can't access - i.e. save or open. I have to kill them via "kill -9 pid".

With a current version of Dovecot a search is pretty fast _without_ using external indexes. I have a view defined (virtual plugin) with around 22.000 messages in it, and searching the full view only takes 2.5

Problems with Share Modes "fill_share_mode_lock failed"
Hi, my details:
Server: 3.2.3
Client: win2k8
When I try list contents of a shared directory through an ASP script
(win2k8 is the client), it's take much time and on samba I saw many
times (4 times for each file) the same error: "fill_share_mode_lock
failed"
I tried "shares mode = No" but no success
It's the log:

sieve filtering setup
I'm looking at implementing sieve in my environment.
Software is:
dovecot-1.2-sieve revision 1022:3c9a22c28156
dovecot-1.2 revision 9269:a303bb82c1c9
AIX 5.3 with sendmail mta using prescribed deliver lda.
I have a few questions. I'll have 110k sieve files(1 for each user).
Does sieve read the file each time a new message is accepted by
sendmail? Are there any measurements on cpu

Hello All,
I have a question in regards to iptables in general, I have been getting these
log messages for a while now, and I am trying to figure out why these are
coming in, I know that I am dropping all packets from the net 2 dmz named
service. My question is why would I get these all the time, they are from
multiple different sites. Are they trying to do something to my host or is

[CentOS-devel] Authorization to use CentOS logo in GNOME Boxes
Bumping this thread in the hopes that we can get an official opinion
from someone on the board.
In particular, the guidelines at
https://wiki.centos.org/ArtWork/Brand/Logo seem to indicate that we're
not supposed to use the logo without the wordmark, but we do that all
the time, even on official swag. What's the official ruling, and who can
we go to for further clarification?

making the world a better place. The Call for Papers for the pre-FOSDEM
Dojo is now open, and we're especially looking for case studies of how
you're using CentOS to do your job.
Thanks!
