Released Pigeonhole v0.4.2 for Dovecot v2.2.6 and Pigeonhole v0.3.6 for Dovecot v2.1.17.
Hello Dovecot users, Now that Dovecot v2.2.6 is released, I can release a new Pigeonhole. Due to the SO_REUSEPORT changes in Dovecot, this Pigeonhole release will not compile cleanly against older Dovecot releases. This release is mainly about bugfixes. I also made a new release for Dovecot v2.1.17 that includes most of these fixes and some older ones. A word of warning for people using doveadm

File locking problems - v2.2.6
Hi, I have been going crazy over the last few weeks trying to install a new Samba server (using v2.2.1, v2.2.5 and v2.2.6) to replace a old system. Problem seems to be with file locking on the new server - works perfectly on old server!! Attached are configuration files for Samba for old (smb205.conf) and new (smb226.conf) servers, plus the source of a Cobol test program (samtest.cbl) that

Transferring the printer database
Is there a way to transfer a Samba printer "database" from one version to another? I tried copying the .tdb files from v2.2.6 to v2.2.8pre1 but it didn't seem to work. Some sort of upgrade path is needed here - it's a lot of work to start over if you've got a lot of printers. PCC

Linux SO_REUSEPORT
I just read about Linux v3.9's SO_REUSEPORT feature and decided to implement it for Dovecot. Would be interesting to know how it works for people :) It's going to be in v2.2.6, which I'm planning on releasing tomorrow. Note especially the warning about the bug: http://hg.dovecot.org/dovecot-2.2/rev/a991a0547daa So the idea is that you'd do something like: service imap-login {

WirelessIP5000 SIP registration problem
I have a Hitachi WirelessIP5000 phone (the original 1st gen hardware). It's running the latest firmware (v2.2.6) and my Asterisk server is running 1.2.10. This setup has been working great for me for a long time, and then last week I started having a problem where the Hitachi phone loses registration. It registers fine when I first power it on, but at some point later the display shows

LMTP error
Hi, I've recently switched to LMTP as I'm now using mdbox. However since switching, mails sent to the root account do not get delivered due to the following error: May 1 18:20:17 Server1 postfix/lmtp[13019]: CAEE91F851: to=<root at test.com>, relay=mail.test.com[private/dovecot-lmtp], delay=1097, delays=1096/0.45/0.43/0.46, dsn=4.3.0, status=deferred (host

Director pop-login and imap-login processes exiting on signal 11
We recently upgraded our cluster to 2.1.3, to enable director proxying. Everything appears to be working fine for the most part; the only odd thing is that I'm seeing a lot of entries in the logs like this: Apr 7 02:18:05 mail-out06 dovecot: pop3-login: Fatal: master: service(pop3-login): child 75029 killed with signal 11 (core not dumped - set service pop3-login {

dsync dovecot / Failed connection refused
Dear all, I am using VMWare and I have cloned my emails server. Now I do have two identicals servers, both running the same version of dovecot (2.2.13) and imap. Let's call them: server1.domain.ltd and server2.domain.ltd. I would like to sync both server using dsync. Dovecot is working well except concerning the sync. dsync config server1.domain.ltd # Enable the replication plugin

PXELINUX 6.03 / vesamenu.c32 hang
Hello, I'm experiencing an issue where if I use vesamenu.c32 with PXELINUX 6.03 when network booting a virtual machine hosted on VMware ESXi 6.0, it hangs (the version message is printed and then nothing - the VM has to be powered off and back on again). This happens no matter if I choose the E1000 network interface or the VMXNET3 network interface when creating the VM. The same problem

Dsync config help
I was able to workaround the ?Error: sync: /var/run/dovecot/auth-userdb: Configured passdbs don?t support credentials lookups (to see if user is proxied, because doveadm_port is set)? problem:? => I simply disabled ?doveadm_port? and added the port number at the end of the remote URL in ?mail_replica? service doveadm : ssl problems
Hello, I'm using dovecot 2.2.13 on Debian stable. My users are authenticated through PAM, and stored in an LDAP backend I'm trying to set-up replication with ssl, following (mainly) this : http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Replication 1) I only diverted from the instructed setup by not setting "doveadm_port = 12345", as it would give me errors of the like: > Fatal:

install "files for complex script and right-to-left lang"?
Running Interlinear Scripture Analyzer v2.1.3 prompts the user to install XP support "files for complex script and right-to-left languages" via the control panel for proper display of hebrew. How can such support be installed?? The hebrew fonts have been successfully installed and are functioning correctly. Right-to-left is not working in the ISA2 app. Tkx.

PXELINUX 6.03 / vesamenu.c32 hang
Hello, Thanks very much for your suggestions. I have double checked that all .c32 files are from the same version of syslinux. What I don't know - I only put those .c32 files I have in there on the basis of trial and error - is what .c32 files are actually needed for menu.c32 and/or vesamenu.c32. I thought perhaps there might be a .c32 file missing that I needed to put in there (though
