Software Collections for CentOS-6 (x86_64 only)
The CentOS Project wants to announce that we have released the Software
Collections (SCL) for CentOS-6 x86_64.
Software collections only work with CentOS-6.4 and CentOS-6.5 .. earlier
versions of CentOS-6 may not work with some SCL packages.
Information about SCLs can be found here:

New SCL updates pushed
We have Software Collections for CentOS currently in our testing repo:
http://dev.centos.org/centos/6/SCL/
To date I don't think I have gotten any feedback, positive or negative,
for these SCL RPMs though I know there are hundreds of people using them
(or at least downloading them).
I have added the following SCL updates to the repo:

Software Collections
What's CentOS's policy on keeping up with RHEL software collections
releases? It looks like just the 1.0 release is available on CentOS. 1.1,
1.2, and 2.0 have been released on the RHEL side.
Is there anything I can do to help with this effort?

RH software collections
Off topic, since it is a RH question, but I'm hoping someone here can
point me to the right place to pursue this:
We need an official RH build of nginx that contains the lua module(s),
but the nginx builds in the rh scl repository do not.
So, I'm looking for how to make an appropriate contact to inquire if
RH could add lua to their current nginx build for the software collections

older distro have newer package in base repo
Just wondering why in EL5's base repo the latest supported mysql
package is 5.5 and in EL6's base repo it is 5.1? Seems strange to me.
(it is clear that the SCL of EL6 has version 5.5 but that implies a
different update policy).
