Chromium 31.0.1650.63-2.el6 for CentOS 6
All, As has already been brought up, we have not yet been able to build the new version of Chromium-32 for CentOS, and the current version (31.0.1650.63-1.el6) needs updating. We have also recently been informed that we may not redistribute the PepperFlash Library from the Google site (libpepflashplayer.so) as we did in 31.0.1650.63-1.el6. Therefore, I have had to rebuild the currently released

Google Chrome Issues on CentOS 6
I've installed Google Chrome using the Richard Lloyd 'install-chrome.sh' script (http://chrome.richardlloyd.org.uk/), and am finding a couple of nagging issues. (Current install is google-chrome-stable-46.0.2490.71-1.x86_64). First, every time I shut down Chrome and start it back up, it whines about not having been shut down "properly." Second, and worse, at start up,

Ruuid missing Gtk glib.dylib
Hi, I get an error indicating a missing library from the package 'Ruuid'. I suppose this means I should install RGtk. I just thought I'd document the error. Maybe a dependency entry is missing? [PATCH] p2v: use newer GTK APIs if possible
Make use of APIs available in early GTK+ 3 versions, adding compatibility functions/macros for older GTK+ versions. No more support for chrome/chromium on rhel6
https://plus.google.com/u/0/100132233764003563318/posts/Y1s6T44Soby Not 100% this is true but the problem apparently is that rhel6 uses an old version of gtk2. If this is true, then it affects my school and my students. I like google-chrome and it works very well with google services. I was planning on using C6 for a long time. Does anyone know of a repo that intends to keep Chromium working

Google Chrome Issues on CentOS 6
Yes, I have noticed this as well, both on CentOS 6 and 7. Once you exit the application, there are processes left running in the background. "killall /opt/google/chrome/chrome" usually takes care of them. Might want to submit a bug report with Google. Or use Firefox. :-) -- Sent from the Delta quadrant using Borg technology! Google Chrome Issues on CentOS 6
On a centos-7 machine where I was having this issue, updating just chrome from: google-chrome-stable-45.0.2454.101-1.x86_64 to: google-chrome-stable-46.0.2490.71-1.x86_64 seemed to resolve this problem. I realize that the OP is reporting this issue, on C6, with the release I just updated to. By the way, I haven't run into this problem with the versions from their beta release channel.

how to upgrade gtk on centos 4.8
Hello, My centos is 4.8 while I need gtk 2.8 or later. How to upgrade GTK? I'm trying to upgrade manually based on RPMs on 5.X, there are too many decencies when upgrading libX. Is there anybody can give some suggestion to enlighten me? Thanks. - Tommy -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

GTK on wine???
so whats the easiest way to run GTK2 runtime files in wine? Yes, you heard right, some WINDOWS apps I use(can't find linux version), run win32 + a GTK front end. The irony of running an linux api layer on top of a windows api layer running on a linux machine is not lost on me. Esepcially since I run gnome. Having themes and all that other jazz link up and re-use my linux GTK would be nice,

[PATCH] build: improve Gtk check
Check the presence of Gtk properly depending on the value of --with-gtk: if a specific version is chosen, then let PKG_CHECK_MODULES fail if that version if not found, otherwise fallback from gtk3 to gtk2 to no gtk. Also move few common AC_SUBST in a single place. --- m4/guestfs_misc_libraries.m4 | 26 ++++++++++++++------------ 1 file changed, 14 insertions(+), 12 deletions(-) diff --git

Google Chrome and CentOS 6?
Hi all, Just recently I started getting the dreaded message about my CentOS 6.7 x64-installation wasn't going to be supported anymore by Google Chrome. "This computer will soon stop receiving Google Chrome updates because this Linux system will no longer be supported." Doing some google searches I found this;

Google Chrome
I have been using CentOS on my laptop for a few days now and it works great! Great work-around for the Fedora GNOME 3 debacle. But I'm starting to miss Google Chrome pretty seriously. Firefox is just not what it once was. It's slow. Spell check is weak. Sometimes it straight up fails to display pages after going "back". There are numerous details like this that just make FF

[PATCH v2 3/3] p2v: Allow virt-p2v to be built with Gtk 2 or 3.
Currently virt-p2v requires Gtk 2. This commit changes virt-p2v so it can be built with either Gtk 2 or 3. By careful use of macros, this code should compile on both recent Gtk 2 and Gtk 3. With no other options, ./configure will now prefer Gtk 3 if it finds it, or fall back to Gtk 2. But you can control this by setting './configure --with-gtk=2|3|check|no' where the options mean: *
